The portfolio I carried everywhere for 15 years was stolen in 2005. My "shoot diary" was inside—short bios of models (all amateurs) and impressions during the shoots. So, the details I provide about pictures made in SF are from memory.

This session was a barter. My PR "head shots" of her in exchange for a custom-tailored jacket.

📷 Morning, y'all. Woke to a different-sounding plop-plop from rain on the gutters outside my window. Or was I still dreaming?

Put coffee on, let Jack out for quick minute and remembered—BIL cleaned the gutters last week. They were overflowing with whatever fills gutters. So now they play a different tune. That's cool AF.

Out front, a big, low-lying bare patch of yard just off the porch attracts freshly-fallen rain. It's a puddle, it's a party!

The F-150 in front of me at the red light this morning had a Confederate flag license-plate holder and "FJB" window sticker—both common as kudzu around here.

He turned into Circle K ahead of me. I parked a few spaces away and would stay in the car until he left.

MAGA was 40-ish, tall, and clean cut—short blond hair, Lee jeans, hoodie, work boots. Outside the truck, he looked "normal," but I knew better. Avoid.

"Rosanna" by Toto was the soundtrack for his walk to the door.
