Yesterday was amazingly great. Big success on a work product, my daughter finally got approved for her braces after battling the insurance for about 1 year, car passed it's yearly inspection with no repairs needed, ended the day with some disc golf with my sons.

So I am a bit concerned the shoe is going to drop today 😉

    I don't have the answer here and I'm not even asking for comments. Just something that has been heavy on my mind recently.

    It feels like daily we are bandwagon canceling companies, apps, people, restaurants, servers, news outlets. I'm not saying this is bad at all, put our money, time, ad dollars, behind things we believe in or stand up to things we are against. Makes sense to me.

    The other side of my brain feels like we need to clam down a bit and take a chill pill.

    @cliffwade @jeber I was just about to write something close to that Cliff. I know there is plenty of bad things going on right now. You can't miss it. But there is a ton of good and joy going on in the world too. I fell like a lot of people are looking at a glass that is filled nearly to the top and are like "my cups almost empty!"

    @weddige some of my thoughts are for myself as well. Should I be more upset about things? I have changed the products I buy or the way I live over the years for sure. I guess my only thought is more about the venom flying about over all of it. Maybe I'm just a big baby and are more affected/turned off by the venom than I should be.

    @macberg Sure. A few things. Mainly the lack of a fully functioning Android app is a big one. Second there still seems to be some feed issues where I see things twice. I like the Web UI much more than Mastodon but I also really like the community I'm apart of here. @cliffwade rocks!

    Starting to seem random conversations posted with regards to some instances that have either already defederated from or are thinking of defederating from firefish.social due to some things the lead developer has stated at some point that people don't agree with.

    If anyone has information about this, and has solid proof of what's going on, I'd appreciate some insight and some thoughts on what other admins will be doing with regards to this.

    @cliffwade I read some yesterday. I barely understand it as I'm just a user. Seems like he was hosting some code with a hosting repo company that is supporting of hate groups. Once he found out he took it down but seems people are still ticked. I'm hoping people respond to your post who can explain it in a way even i can understand.

    I can still hear this in my nightmares.

    My Dad used to print 20 page documents next to my bedroom door, while I was trying to go to sleep. It felt like it would take an hour.

    This week I opted to do something different. When going over to , I decided to recreate an cover. Here we have Lucky, Raymond, Filbert, & Tiansheng dressed as from the cover of their self-titled album, aka the .

    I really tried to capture the spirit of the outfits and the album cover here. The outfits were harder to capture than getting the room all blue.

    I've been spending my time in the but have still kept the app on my phone for checking in on some applications I follow over there. The X name change is really just a dumb pointless move that doesn't affect me at all, but it its just dumb enough to convince me to uninstall the app this morning.

    Only one step left, which is deleting my account. We shall see how much longer I can hold out before doing so.

    @cliffwade I'm with you. I kept holding out hope that he would sell it or something, but he seems content to ride it into the ground. It was my favorite social platform to follow tech news and app devs, so it's tough letting go.
