    It's the weekend so let's all comment below with our weekend plans and what we're all going to do.

    For me, I'll be having lunch with my cousin and her two daughters and my wife. My cousin and I haven't seen each other since Thanksgiving, so that will be nice.

    The rest of the day will likely just be relaxing and laying on the new couch to catch up on some TV shows we're behind on.

    @LeftistLawyer Their idea of art stopped at naturalism. Impressionism, surrealism, or gasp cubism, where imagination really comes in, is foreign to them. I don’t even think it’s the lack of imagination, it’s more the fear of the ambiguity (moral and artistic) that comes with it. Suddenly, you cannot deal in absolutes any more.

    @LeftistLawyer In creativity research, it’s a pretty well-established fact that people with a high tolerance of ambiguity score higher on creativity tests. It’s also a major factor in the difference between conservatives and liberals, hence my comment.

    @cliffwade The wife and daughter are off to judge at a robotics competition. So I’ll mostly be running errands, cleaning the house, and cooking them a nice dinner when they get back late tonight.

    Today's haul comes from Trader Joe's, which I haven't been inside since pre-pandemic times. They have a small yet impressive selection. Most wines are cheap. I was amazed to see the Harvey & Harriet red blend there. Snagged one.

    @stevenray TJs always has great bang for the buck. My recommendation: try the Epicurio Primitivo. It’s imported from Italy’s Puglia region, and it’s absolutely authentic and as far as imports go dirt cheap. My first trip to Italy was to Bari, which is Puglia’s main city, and we essentially lived off that stuff.

    @stevenray On another note, looking at the Austrian Grüner Veltliner in the background, I never saw that one in our TJ. All I've seen and bought is the Hungarian one (My son's favorite, and I like it, too). I'll have to look for it and check it out.
