Gaetz has surely over played his hand. A great one negotiated for the right moment ( if that were ever intended) but now it’s been used he’s a busted flush. Surely no one will ever be stupid enough to submit to similar demands ever again.

    Thank you Teri, again. Cool, precise and balanced, what we feel we need (because of the deliberate bait) against what is objectively possible, given what is actually placed in front of us.
    Though I’m guessing that timing is driving the hysteria;
    ie - What happens if the clock runs beyond the election, Trump wins and sets out to rip up the rule book in revenge (his MO).
    Not an excuse, but concerning nonetheless.

    Love your posts (avid watcher across the pond)- I have a question though,possibly because I really don’t understand your legal system ( not that I really understand my own).
    How can an indicted plaintiff receive legal cover from a coconspirator, this seems like a massive conflict of interest. Surely judiciary requires absolute independence between all parties. Otherwise interested parties can / and will cooperate. That can’t be right- surely?

    @flexghost nothing says ProLife more than killing people, for holding different views.
    Views that are very definitely their own, and certainly not those quite explicitly written in their giant fairy’s book, which you would assume give them at least some cursory guidance (It is written!!!).
    But given the CHOICE to adhere to their Credo, or be total w⚓️s- being a total w⚓️ wins, which is, ironically, against their Credo.
    Maybe that’s why they can’t SEE their own hypocrisy!!
