@markmccaughrean In accordance to my witch powers the actual worst of the weather passed us by, we got some rain but it steered a path around our little village ( as it usually does). For what ever reason I live in a really weird weather zone, lots of angry posturing but something in Trenthorst terrifies even the most strident of weather gods and they skirt on by as quietly as possible. Much to my annoyance as a good thunderstorm is a wonderful thing to behold.

Polar Stratospheric Cloud (PSC)

It's the reflecting light that bounces around in a pileus cloud that's made out of ice crystals above strong updrafted cumulonimbus clouds and only happens at a certain angle from the equator, a quite rare phenomena.
