A shallow creek running through the deep bush, in on this fine Spring day.

Ferns and adorned this space for hundreds of square kilometres… thriving in their natural habitat.

Earlier, were heard ringing out amongst the tree tops.

Blue Wrens flitted throughout the trees.

And no other person was around, for miles.

This is kinda Heaven on Earth!

Sound up!!

It drapes beautifully over a rear fence, backing onto a public reserve.

Gorgeous, huh?!

Another suburban , featuring its unique trunk patterns, akin to typical army fatigues.

The different colour of bark patches are in fact varying layers that have aged over the months. The lighter shades, obvs, are the newer layers.

This beauty is at least 60 foot tall and has most likely been around for longer than most of us, even though it’s a relatively mid-aged tree, I’d suggest.

Many live in excess of 200 years, I read with interest!

You should see these monumental trees in a bush setting. In numbers, they are breathtaking.

These congregating in a circular formation caught my eye earlier…

Were they playing "Ring a Ring o' Rosie?” 🤔

Wanted to get closer shots, but as ducks go, they were somewhat shy and evaded me at any chance!

They probably wondered why I was taking photos of them.

Perhaps they thought I was quackers?

Oh my goodness!

It’s hard to believe this is the pre skyline in , photographed a moment ago.

A typically cool morning, around 10c (50F), and will remain around that temp, albeit a little cloudy throughout the day.

After viewing these stunning pics, I can live with that!

Thanks to @Witchy_Minx for pics! Great snapping you!!

A huge aka pre sunrise this morning.

How glorious is that full bloom? A sea of yellow, wow!

Cold last night, car was iced, a low of 1c (34F) but these, like many here in Melbs are hardy and resilient to frost.

I’d suggest this is a teenager in vintage… saw it foraging in a bark-covered garden bed, as we pulled up.

Threw it some of my coffee scroll… loved that!

Then some avo 🥑, my youngest pulled out of his sushi roll earlier… and it absolutely devoured that!

Lucky for them.

Lucky for me, getting these snaps!

Took a detour just now to photograph this series of what I believe are trees, along a busy roadside, .

Saw them the other day but couldn’t stop. Today they’re displaying beautifully in the morning sunshine.

There are a dozen of these lovely trees along this stretch and they’re truly breathtaking.

Even the bright green or on this one’s trunk surface and main branches are a visual delight!

Stumbled on this truly awesome × soulangeana (Magnolia denudata × Magnolia liliiflora) this morning, also known as the saucer magnolia or sometimes the tulip tree.

It is a hybrid flowering plant in the genus Magnolia and family Magnoliaceae.

It is a deciduous tree with large, early-blooming flowers and I’ve seen many lately, in various shades of white, pink, and purple.

I read with note that it is one of the most commonly used magnolias in horticulture, being widely planted in the British Isles, especially in the south of England; and in the United States, especially the east and west coasts.

Elegance all the way!

My ID app doesn’t lock this down to a specific species, but I suspect it’s a from the genus Narcissus.

However, Google Lens does indeed confirm it is a daffodil! Otherwise known in some parts, as .

Nevertheless, this footpath garden outside of a home in brings to mind feminine beauty, when I see the elegance of these plants.

So happy and healthy too, I hope these remain in the ground for weeks to come (rather than a vase), for all to see… and marvel.

More busy collecting nectar on these beautiful and in .

Bees are so industrious and gentle creatures.

facts;

There are over 1500 different species of native bees

Some bees are as tiny as 2mm with the largest being around 24mm.

It is thought that a honeybee produces just one half of a teaspoon of honey throughout its entire working life.

In just a single day a queen bee can lay 3000 eggs.

There are on average around 55,000 worker bees in a bee colony.

A honey bee’s wings flap 11,400 times a minute, which creates the bee buzz - as in, how is this even remotely possible!!! 🤔😮

A queen bee lives for up to two years.

A worker bee lives around 45 days during summer, and less in winter.

All worker bees are females, the only male bees are the drones.

Caught a in busy search for nectar on these two lovely in recently.

The blooms on these mid-sized trees are bountiful and healthy as anything.

The red petals (pic 1) are spectacular, so too the filaments and anthers of both coloured flowers.

Truly beautiful!
