I'm departing from my usual journalism habits tonight. Because I want to be better at my job and truly understand our county's electoral process, I've taken a temp job picking up and closing a ballot drop site! It's really interesting work. I had two separate training days for what will end up being about a two hour shift tonight. We'll still have our usual election night stories out, they'll just be delayed an hour or so.
