I know its safer and easier, but a crowd of shining phone flash lights really doesn't compare to a crowd of lighters. Everyone raising a lighter created this soft glow, everyone whipping out their 50 lumen white-light flash lights literally lights up the whole room.

She couldnt make use of legal defense. She could only talk about her reasons, but when she did she was stopped because apparently the climate crisis is irrelevant to a trial concerning a climate activist...

@campuscodi It feels like at some point they lost control of the recommendations algorithm. You can see it in real time with shorts. Most of the time it only takes a couple scrolls for the short you clicked on to be completely disregarded and it feeds you something completely unrelated.

I can watch a short of dropouts gamechanger (a goofy game show I watch) and after a couple scrolls be hit with a short from Ben Shapiro's show despite never having watched it and it being on the complete opposite side of the political spectrum to other shows I might watch...

People always think high school science clubs are lame but honestly the science teacher that ran the one at my high school was clinically insane and in two years led projects where we made:

  • miniature rocket car
  • gauss rifle
  • electromagnet coil gun
  • fireworks
  • mushroom grower (with spores ordered from a 'microscope enthusiast' website)
  • superpowered toaster
  • newspaper rocket fuel

I'm certain we could have asked him to make the demon core and he would have gone 'hmmm yes, excellent, let me get some plutonium'
