I'm kinda done with folks being so hesitant about using them for me. Not enough that I'd make them my primary pronouns, but enough that I'd make this post. I feel folks have an issue with it, because it feels vaguely negative or derogatory, but honestly?

It's the power of choosing that way of referring to me that brings me euphoria.

    @darkphoenix yeah! I've been running Ubuntu server on mine, and I've dabbled in others in the past. :alicemlem:

    I even did Arch for a while. That was a trip.

    My main issue with Debian is that updates tend to come very slowly, and I do value stability, but I also like playing with newer stuff to see how it works. :aliceheartblack:

    I wasn't necessarily worried about HDCP, but I do have an interest in doing something like this at some point. However, at the current moment, it's difficult to find hardware that will passthrough a signal the right way to go through the TV, keep ARC, send 5.1 surround, and have minimal lag. :alicesideeye:

    Healthy little reminder that there is no "right" way to transition. Whether you start at 13 or 30, choose to present immediately or gradually, change your documents or not, start HRT or don't, or even have an idea of what transitioning looks like for you for a majority of the time is all valid.

    There are plenty of folks 5, 10, 20 years down the line that are still figuring things out. There are plenty of folks that get any number of top or bottom or plastic surgeries of all kinds. There are plenty of folks that meet hurdles and have to stop for a while, or can't get what they need yet. There are plenty of folks that never stop discovering themselves, because life goes on.

    If you are thinking of transitioning, or even just considering evaluating your gender identity, do yourself a favor and put yourself first. This is your life. No one can tell you the "right" way to live it. :alicehearttrans:

    As one more note, I have every intention on sharing this with as many folks as possible. You're welcome to download these and share with anyone you wish, or keep to yourself. I grew up in the middle of Texas, very isolated from the LGBTQ+ community, and I'd love nothing more than for someone in a similar position to see these and be inspired to transition themselves, or at least consider it.
