Got asked several times this week on how I feel about the recent news.

Long story short: I'm still proud to play a small part in as well as the @fedora communities. I'm surrounded by talented people who work hard to deliver meaningful improvements for customers around the clock.

There's a ton of mud-slinging going on by people with agendas to push and views to count. That's the roughest part.

The NWS has announced a 🚩 RED FLAG WARNING 🚩 for northwest Oregon/southwest Washington.

High temps + low humidity + wind == ideal conditions for fires to start and spread quickly.

Took the family on a bike ride in and damn, what a poorly engineered bike network we have. Can't ride two blocks without having to stop first and explain some vehicular maneuver required when the bike lane ends or whatever. They get scared and want to use sidewalks: walk signal stays on for two seconds and there's already someone zipping around a corner trying to kill you. So absurd to think people just don't bike because they prefer driving, this is terrorism. Dumbass mayor reagan

@enobacon I always took a particular delight in taking the SUV down a bike street at 15 to make sure everyone else did that too. (As a bike commuter with a car.)
It's now even better with an urban Texas sized truck with tinted windows -- forcing everyone else to go at actual street speed. (It turns out, that truck fits everywhere in PNW).

    For many years my comfort food for when I had a bad day was a 6 gyoza + 1 Japanese scrambled egg + rice + more eggs + vegetable soup set that I could get at my favorite mid range sit down Japanese fast food spot in Singapore. It was US$12 for all of that and better than the high end Japanese restaurants in San Francisco. So now, I end up making all that at home instead. Dumplings and eggs and rice and soy sauce and dashi is always a winning combination that gives me comfort and happiness.

    I love going to Costco and seeing all the Keto stuff on the shelves, but since it might seem like a weakness that you can't handle a carb, the brands fully lean into masculine fonts and box designs, so it's not some "steel cut overnight oats", it's "tactical ancient grain high energy cereal for very stable men"

    One: if I'm packing for a trip, it's a lot easier to swing through the office and grab a few to go.

    Two: in the absolute worst case, if either of us get pulled into a multi-whatever incident, there's always something within three feet.
