    Viel wichtiger als irgendwelche "Drüberkommentare" Features fände ich bei Mastodon ja vernünftige Spamerkennungs-Tools.

    Pixelfed macht es mit seinem simple naive Bayes Filter vor. Sowas hätte ich auch gerne. Klar, ist simple und naive, aber könnte uns einen Haufen manuelle Arbeit ersparen.

    Wozu haben wir denn Machine learning? ...

    Verstehe natürlich auch, dass die Entwicklungsressourcen stark eingeschränkt sind. Aber Prios, Leute,... Prios! ... ;-)

    is by far the best browser on desktop. Let me be clear, I am not saying that because I am ideologically opposed to using Google products. I use YouTube and Google Workspaces. Chrome genuinely has nothing to offer over Firefox. If your website doesn't work in Firefox then I'm not using your website.

    @kernellogger It very much depends on the tone. But I doubt that you communicate the problems in an aggressive way. It cannot be bad if more eyes overlook the issues. Maybe annoying to be reminded, but still a service to the problem on hand. Not some random complaint.

    In den Bussen des Hamburger Verkehrsverbundes (HVV) kann man ab dem Jahreswechsel keine Fahrscheine mehr in bar kaufen. Kundinnen und Kunden können aber vorher eine Bezahlkarte erwerben, von der dann im Bus der Fahrpreis abgebucht wird.

    Die Kinder haben beim #Halloween-Laufen neben jede Menge Süßigkeiten auch etwas anderes mitgebracht. Eine Katze! Sie scheint jetzt hier zu wohnen. Was die anderen beiden Katzen dazu wohl sagen...

    @2ndStar Ganz merkwürdig, sehr zutraulich. Haben erst die Tür zugemacht und gedacht, dass sie dann von alleine geht. Nix da, halbe Stunde später war sie immernoch da. Und als wir nachgeschaut haben, ist sie ins Haus geflitzt.

    Die Kinder haben sie dann bekuschelt, bis wir die Besitzer im Dorf ausfindig machen konnten :-) Sie hat keine Anstalten gemacht zu gehen.

    Jetzt haben wir sehr unglückliche Kinder, aber zum Glück wieder nur zwei Katzen :-D

    Wegen eines Buchungsfehlers musste ich innerhalb von zwei Wochen meinen #SCA für SLES 15 durchziehen. Dadurch, dass ich die #LPIC1 zuvor schon gemacht habe, war das tatsächlich auch machbar.

    Nun darf ich mich offiziell SUSE Certified Administrator for #SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 (sca_sles15) nennen!

    Ich habe vor über 20 Jahren mit SUSE Linux angefangen und bin heute in der #opensuse-Community aktiv. Daher freut mich das besonders.

    @kuketzblog Ich umgehe das Problem einfach, indem ich diesen unnützen Eltern-Whatsapp-Gruppen einfach nicht beitrete.

    Alle wichtigen Informationen laufen über die Schule über Elternbriefe oder Emails. Der Rest kann mir geschenkt bleiben.

    @lcamtuf people can't do good C. That's a problem the language has deep in it's code. It's justed used because it is fast. Probably it's fast because it lacks all these security features.

    One thing that bugs me about bare metal servers. So much money is spent to buy something beefy and powerful, and to run a lightweight efficient OS, and yet they all take like 10 minutes or worse to cold boot where a $500 laptop cold boots in under a minute.

    I know why (RAID, PXE, etc.), but that doesn't mean the situation itself isn't ridiculous.

    @vwbusguy well I turn them off because of energy prices. Laptops are turned off somewhat a bit at least. But true, they don't have to rebooted, but most of they probably will if you think about all the windows boxes.
