@RitaWerner @pallenberg Ohne willige Partner wäre die NSDAP in Deutschland nie an die Regierung gelangt.

Demonstrationen die Wähler umstimmen? Bbestenfalls ungewiss.

Ziel muss sein, die Populisten in den demokratischen Parteien davon abzubringen der AFD thematisch nachzulaufen und über Koalitionen auch nur nachzudenken!

Demos von »Linken«? Nichts könnte Merz / Söder gleichgültiger sein. Aber wenn sie Angst um ihre treuesten Wähler haben müssen …

»Wir mögen in vielen Punkten unterschiedlicher Meinung sein, aber wir sind Demokraten und bereit die Demokratie zu verteidigen.«

Somit freue ich mich über jeden CDU/CSU Wähler, jeden Demokraten und jeden Politiker mit dem nötigen Rückgrat auf den Demos!

… Und bedanke mich ausdrücklich bei den Organisatoren 💚.

Und dagegen hilft, alle CDU Wähler und Funktionäre pauschal als NAZIS zu verunglimpfen? Und die SPD gleich mit, weil Olaf Scholz versucht sich als Abschiebekanzler 🤢. Und Politiker sind alle …

Die Wendehälse, Populisten und moralfreien Karrieristen als solche zu benennen ist notwendig. Aber Pauschalieren?

Demokratische Mitbürger dürfen und werden in politischen Fragen anderer Meinung sein als ich.

@RitaWerner @JohnMeils @pallenberg Kann ich nachvollziehen, würde selbst die Grenze an einer anderen Stelle ziehen.

Merz ein Mikro in die Hand zu drücken ginge auch mir zu weit.

Im Endeffekt geht es um die Frage, was aktuell eher hilft: 500 gestandene Antifaschisten oder 5.000 Demokraten (auch die mit konservativem Weltbild) auf einer Demo.

    @SheDrivesMobility Also in Berlin Direct zeigt man erst ein paar Aufnahmen von den Demos. Direkt gefolgt von Interviewschnipseln einer AFD Veranstaltung mit dem üblichen AFD Gejammer. Krönender Abschluss Höckes Gleichsetzung der Demonstranten mit den Teilnehmern der 1933er Fakelmärsche.

    Keine Satire. Konnte es erst nicht glauben 🤬

    Around 12% of all people living in took the streets today to protest against right-wing movements. Too much for our police to handle. The peaceful demonstration was halted after 40 minutes. We will come again!

    @jwildeboer At the same time, protests are also taking place in medium-sized and small towns. Like today in Bad Tölz with around 1,500 participants out of a population of 19,000. I can't remember ever seeing such widespread protests in Germany.

    And this is unfortunately true (almost) everywhere: History is written by victors.

    The destruction of the culture of the vanquished was systematically practiced by every colonial power as part of the exercise of power. A current illustrative example is Russia's actions in Ukraine.

    A lot of people don't know the difference between capitalism and ... having markets and shopping and little coops and companies in non-super-essential economic sectors that operate independently.

    Markets existed before capitalism and will exist after.

    I also think that ideologically charged terms tend to obscure the view on the real problems.

    In Germany, the terms market economy and planned economy are more commonly used. The FRG followed one model, the GDR the other. Unified Germany thus has experience with both. But that doesn't really help in ideologically charged discussions either 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Personally, I find it more helpful to talk about the desired social outcomes and the appropriate methods to achieve them. A market economy often delivers better results.

    However, the prerequisite is that a functioning market for a certain area can be created via rules (legal framework). And, as is usually the case, there are areas where this requires such complex rules that the approach makes no sense.

    Problematic are all areas where the traded good cannot be increased arbitrarily or where it is a matter of basic needs essential for survival. Imagine a free-market solution for the air we breathe. Absurd?

    When it comes to water, we are much less clear - personally, I think that the water supply belongs in public hands. The British see it differently. The experience, however ...
