Does anyone use parity pricing for their app or apps on the App Store?

I just got a Stream Deck, what am I missing out on? Cool plugins, features I wouldn't have tried out yet.

So far I have set up shortcuts for Xcode to toggle panes, as well as step through debugging and that is super satisfying haha, but feel I am not using it much outside of Xcode at all

I don't have a ticket, but think I might head over for all the unofficial events. Don't know how many more WWDC's that I'll be on the same continent for so might as well!

I'm on a massive high from Deep Dish Swift and want to keep that energy going!

Any tips on where to stay, what to do, events?

That depressing thing when you as a tech writer get excited on seeing a press kit link and then deflate when none of the images are usable.

App and game : if you want to shove screenshots into device frames and depict them at weird angles, have at it. But a lot of writers need just the screen grabs as-is, uncompressed and at full size.

@craiggrannell any tips on what to include to balance download size? I just localised screenshots for one of my apps so the presskit zip got much bigger, and I wonder if having too much content is a lesser evil than having too little

@jknlsn would it be possible to request store logos? Also, could the text on the widget be the same size as on the cards in the app? It feels large on the widget 🤔

@JeroenSchaper if you DM me or email from the contact details in app with any logos you're missing I can look at adding them for now! I want to add a way to request easily in app, or failing that add your own, but will likely be version 2.1 at this stage 😊

Do you have a screenshot of what you mean at all sorry? Not quite following for the widgets, but can definitely look at it!

Yeah I can't compete in the offers categories haha, but I'm trying to make Barcodes the best option for loyalty cards on Apple devices!

I see quite a few people in the US returning their Vision Pros. As someone in the UK, it always boggles my mind that this is allowed. We have very good consumer rights here, for the most part, but you don’t just buy a piece of hardware and get to return it if you don’t like it. You by default only get a refund if it’s unused and the retailer agrees (or you bought it online and returned within 14 days) or if it’s damaged (and even then, the retailer has one ‘right to repair’ attempt).

@craiggrannell doesn't Apple offer the exact same 14 days everywhere? I don't think it's US specific.

I was under the impression it was the same when I've lived in Australia, the UK and now in the USA anyway, and I've had Apple Store employees use the 14 day returns as a persuasive factor to buy a product I am only 80% convinced on. I mean I usually end up keeping them 95% of the time so I think it's working ok haha

For better or worse, I’m on a Mastodon server by myself. And I have a couple Masto tech
questions!

  1. Is it normal to never see how many favs someone’s post has? It’s always zero. (I miss that, it’s nice to see what resonates with people.)
  2. I also sometimes don’t see all (most?) of the replies on someone’s tweet. Also normal? What dictates the ones I see?

@cabel yep you pretty much see what your instance sees.

I think maybe Mammoth (or Mona or Ice Cubes or Ivory I forget) started trying to get the counts and replies etc from the original server, but that has its own challenges and can add a lot of traffic. The website lets you go to the original post and then you will see all the likes and replies but you still won't see them on your feed when scrolling

One of the reasons my main account is here and not on the radiant instance for my app! :)

WatchOS 10 is the least satisfied I've been with Apple in a while. It feels like everything became harder to use, and the replacements if they exist are worse.

Not being able to access recently used apps at all, not being able to swipe to get to other watch faces, and changing the gesture for control centre have made it feel like an update has gone backwards for the first time.

Getting used to gestures on the iPhone XS took a few hours. I've had this update for weeks now and it still jars.
