@tenacity Somehow I didn't find an answer to this, so I have this question: Do you track and port new features and fixes from Audacity? I saw the Audacity new release announcement about lossless pitch change and couldn't find out if Tenacity ported that feature.

kamikazow,
@kamikazow@mastodon.social avatar

@tenacity I would have thought porting pretty much everything would be a free way to gain features.

We are thinking of potentially moving development from Discord to another platform (Discord would remain as a community platform).

Do you have any recommendations for platforms and reasons why?

Examples of potential options are Discourse and Mattermost

kamikazow,
@kamikazow@mastodon.social avatar

@veloren I'd suggest a Lemmy community, possibly self-hosted with a different front-end such as LemmyBB. It turns Lemmy from Reddit-style to forum style. Gitlab is currently implementing ActivityPub support, so there would be a bridge between Lemmy and Gitlab that could be utilized for features I can't even think about.

Pop-up isn't just a notification, runs as separate .exe in Windows 10 and 11.

We are planning to raise the minimum macOS version to 10.13. see https://codeberg.org/tenacityteam/tenacity/pulls/215 for more info.

In that PR, we also raise the target to 10.15, which we plan to be the minimum version some time in the future as we move away from wxWidgets.

We want to see what you guys think. We know we lack macOS builds right now, but we want to bring them back at one point. So, should we keep the current minimum (which is 10.12), raise it to 10.13 (our original plan), or raise it to 10.15 instead?

kamikazow,
@kamikazow@mastodon.social avatar

@tenacity 10.15 is from 2019. Why so ancient? Just set the minimum to 12. People with Macs so old not supported by 12 should just upgrade to Linux anyway.
