My notifications are drowning in this crap and I don't know how to stop it. I've blocked and reported so many of these, but they keep coming from different instances.

Help?

What a completely satisfying experience this game was.

This is my iPod's battery status after playing music on shuffle for 72 hours straight. It probably still has another 7 or 8 hours left in it!

(My first battery rundown test)

This is remarkable!

Remember when battery life didn't suck? This is my beloved iPod's battery after playing on shuffle for 24 hours straight.

This came up on shuffle today, so it’s the perfect opportunity to remind you that @joeressington is an awesome musician.

Go find this album on Bandcamp!

Van Halen's final album, "A Different Kind Of Truth," is no longer available on any music streaming platforms. You can't buy a digital copy of it. If you're just getting into the band now (or getting back into them) and want to check it out on a whim, you'll need to buy it on CD or vinyl, or sail the pirate waters.

THIS is exactly why I'm gravitating back towards physical media, and why I'm digitizing my existing collection to throw on things like Plex and my iPod.

My music, on my terms.

I am rediscovering at 48 years old (was only briefly into stuff like Walking Dead and Stray Bullets years ago), and found out there is a X Back to the Future crossover AND a Transformers X Star Trek crossover series!

It's as if some evil product marketing genius at Hasbro was like "how do we easily part these Gen Xers with their cash again?"

Looks like I'm going down this rabbit hole.

I’ve had more fun replaying the opening chapter of Final Fantasy VII Remake for the third time than the entirety of the 30 hours I’ve spent with Final Fantasy XVI so far.

Why is this game such a slog? And who designed these side quests, someone who thinks the most basic mobile game “mission” is too complicated?

FINALLY. I've wanted this thing for years and was fortunate enough to use my remote work stipend to get one. My hands are so happy.

Obviously I want you to use @thunderbird, but whatever you do, please STOP using !

"Everyone talks about the privacy-washing (new window) campaigns of Google and Apple as they mine your online data to generate advertising revenue. But now it looks like Outlook is no longer simply an email service(new window); it’s a data collection mechanism for Microsoft’s 772 external partners and an ad delivery system for Microsoft itself."

Me: Drops $300 on hardware to spin up a local Plex server without even blinking.

Also me: Spends two hours internally debating $20 on food delivery versus making dinner, then feels guilty about it.

Why am I like this? 😅

This might be the first time in a couple of decades that I’ve gone into a Final Fantasy game completely unspoiled. I never read any news articles. I haven’t seen any reviews. I haven’t even watched a trailer.

After years of either covering gaming directly, or having it in my peripheral vision because of PC or tech writing, this is a super refreshing feeling!!

(Also, the first physical game I’ve purchased in forever, and definitely not the last)

(Also also, new !)

Has anyone tried out the AI transcription features in ? (I believe it's only available in Windows right now)

I'm curious how accurate the transcriptions are.

I don’t speak Croatian. And I didn’t record this video myself.

An AI generated it using only 30 seconds of me just talking nonsense into my webcam.

I can now make my "digital twin" say anything, in any language...

2023 was a bittersweet year marked by milestones & heartbreak. I'm not sure yet how I feel about it being over.

In 2023 I traveled to -
*Tenerife, Spain
*Brno, Czechia
*Brussels, Belgium
*Paris, France
*Montreal, Canada
*Fresno, California
*Las Vegas, Nevada
*Morro Bay, California

I moved across the world, then moved again within California.

I released my first EP.

I got divorced...

I'm exhausted, you guys. But I'm excited about spending 2024 working on myself for a change.

I'm kicking off my Hurricane Blonde blog the only way I know how: with a 1400-word origin story. Find out how this whole musician thing started, and why I'm recording my next release on tape!

These were my great-grandfather’s tapes. Instead of writing letters to his brother, he would basically record an audio letter, mail it, and his brother would sometimes use the same tape to respond.

Apparently the recordings would take place across days or weeks until they were full.

Fascinating. I cannot WAIT to hear all of these. what a time capsule.
