When I listen to Rancid’s “Let’s Go” I feel blessed that the band gifted us with 23 absolutely classic songs on the same damn album. This record has zero skips.

Also, this record has one of the best love letters to music ever recorded ("Radio").

Today, I finished my first EP!

I could spent an infinite amount of time polishing these songs (after all, songs are never finished, only abandoned) but they represent a part of my past. I started 2 of these in 2017.

Now it's time to send these off into the world & move forward to what's next. But I have to say I'm thrilled about this collection of songs, and I hope you'll enjoy once it gets released.

Next step: a logo and spinning up the marketing engine.

Just got the Fakespot beta in Firefox. It's a feature that checks Amazon reviews (and other retailer sites) for reliability and then adjusts the rating.

It uses AI to detect fake or unreliable reviews. This was for a smart LED light bulb set originally rated 4.6 with 13,000 ratings. . .

And I'm seeing this kind of aggressive adjustment in rating for about half the products I'm browsing.

I worked on my music for nearly 12 hours yesterday, and it was AWESOME.

Wrote a lyric for a new song called "Fool Me Once" and recorded a rough vocal demo for it, fleshed out some drum parts, played live bass to replace the MIDI parts in a couple other songs, and finalized the mixes for "Story of the Century" and "Forward". They are DONE!

Of course today I'm exhausted. Feel like I have a hangover, but I wouldn't have spent my day any other way. It was perfect!

It finally happened! Tonight I picked up my acoustic guitar and banged out music for a lyric I wrote in 1996 🤯

THEN somehow a vocal melody poured out of me. So, this weekend I'm working on "Devil's Joke," a brand new very very old song.

And I think I'll keep these super rough, "moment of creation" demos to give people an idea of how a song progresses.

Dammit I can't wait to bring you all this music!
