Sitting here, thinking about wearing a banned piece of hardware around my wrist, I can't help but think that I'm living in some Fahrenheit 451 parallel universe. It feels like I'm about to get arrested, my watch ripped off my wrist, and it burned in a big bonfire in the middle of town.

For me, I just have the normal work stuff. I have to finish the patching the BIOS on this old ThinkPad since I messed up the process yesterday. Then it’s just relaxing this evening.

@bean Yeah I get the premise and that SMS is just plain crappy from a privacy standpoint. For Apple to even fallback to it when iMessage fails is crazy given their stance on Privacy.
Apps like Signal, Whatspp (maybe not them given the Meta ownership now) are definitely ones that should be looked I totally agree, but people just gravitate to mainstream apps.
