Edit: This does definitely not apply to any victims of dictatorships or authoritarian regimes. It is merely a (not complex enough) expression of my discomfort with people who moan all the time about the society they live in, without acknowledging their own part.

They are supposed to be in the 7 or even 8 digits, because you need to pay that much to get the best of the best.

And yet: Hundreds of people can die because you thought, too much quality control wouldn't increase the shareholder value.

Thousands of workers might lose their jobs, because your company can't sell their shitty products anymore.

And yet: You will never have to live from food stamps. Your children will always still go to private schools.

There was a time, when I dearly loved #TerryPratchett and #DouglasAdams, and they will always have a sweet spot in my heart for the many laughs and for all the cultural heritage, they left us.

However: Whenever I now grab one of their #books, their style and language feels terribly outdated and, frankly, boring to me.

Ich muss allerdings zugeben: Neben den Programmen (Papier ist ja geduldig - da kann man allerhand Schönes reinschreiben) sind mir auch die Personen sehr wichtig, und da habe ich besonders bei Volt meine Probleme.

Auf jeden Fall: Europa ist wichtig und diese Wahl besonders!

Viele Leute beneiden die #Schweiz (zu recht) für ihre tollen #Eisenbahn⁣en, die das Rückgrat des ganzen öffentlichen Verkehrs bilden, aber wenige wissen etwas über das #Postauto, das regelmäßig von früh bis spät dorthin fährt, wo eben keine Schienen liegen.

Für mich ist ein solches Angebot in der Fläche (und alles ineinander getaktet) eine zentrale Voraussetzung dafür, auch abseits der Städte nicht auf das #Auto angewiesen zu sein.

An sowas denkt man in #Deutschland nicht einmal.
