In the night from the 11. to the 12.5. this bike was stolen from a friend of mine in St. Georg, Hamburg (between roughly 11:00 and 2:00, locked with an Abus Bordo). Chances to hear anything are of course super low, but still: If you happen to see it around, let me know - please reshare!

In den Bussen des Hamburger Verkehrsverbundes (HVV) kann man ab dem Jahreswechsel keine Fahrscheine mehr in bar kaufen. Kundinnen und Kunden können aber vorher eine Bezahlkarte erwerben, von der dann im Bus der Fahrpreis abgebucht wird.

@GW "no regard to civilian lives"- than why (in contrast to Hamas) IDF, e.g. announce attacks on buildings, so the civilians can flee? And the Hamas tells them to stay? This is well documented. Who has no regard to civilian lives here - maybe the one who even attacks out of civilian areas with rockets?

And yes, I don't call this perfectly humane or whatnot. But if someone cannot see the differences in practice of Hamas and IDF here, I don't know what to say. I don't think any Kibbutz got a warning from Hamas before the terrorists entered and butchered everybody.

Turns out without a sense of smell spicey stuff does absolutely zero. My hottest hot sauce is basically like consuming water.

Sadly, isolation in another place did not help. I was appearently infectious in the morning already when the test was negative. Wife and little one are doing pretty well though, him especially, which is a great relief

@philippsteinkrueger @tschfflr Ich glaube das geht am Punkt vorbei. Prekär ist die Arbeit u.a. wegen der fehlenden Perspektiven und Planbarkeit. Und Menschen arbeiten m.M. nicht nur aus a) Angst zu viel (weil sie angeblich sonst keine Anschlussfinanzierung kriegen), sondern auch b) weil das "zu viel" nirgends dokumentiert wird sodass mensch nie sagt "heute feier ich Überstunden ab", oder c) durch Pressure von Vorgesetzten die z.B. das " zu viel arbeiten" gaslighten oder rechtfertigen, aber durch eine Erfassung der Mehrarbeit auch exposed werden.

Ich kenne aus eigener Erfahrung, das Veränderungen angestoßen wurden weil z.B. bei der Betreuung eines Praktikums PhDs als Gruppe mal ihre Arbeit dokumentiert haben und so zeigen konnten, das sie alle zu viel Lehre machen mussten/sollten.

@philippsteinkrueger @JensJot @DrKEichhorn Das Argument, dass die Arbeitswelten der Wissenschaft nicht unbedingt vergleichbar mit denen des freien Marktes sind, ist durchaus nachvollziehbar. Es ist aber nicht zwingend so: Wir könnten auch die Professorinnenklasse analog zum Kapitalisten und den Mittelbau parallel zum Proletariat sehen: Diese machen die wirkliche wissenschaftliche Arbeit, werden aber in der überwältigen Mehrheit später nicht im Wissenschaftssystem arbeiten. Die langfristige "Publikationsernte" hat derdie Professorin. Im Interesse des Mittelbaus muss es also sein, angemessene Rahmen für die eigene Wissensarbeit zu schaffen, gegen die Interessen der Professorinnenschaft.
Zeiterfassung ist so ein Rahmen, der zum Arbeitnehmerschutz vor Ausbeutung dient. Solange mir die andere Seite nix besseres anbietet, nehme ichs.
