@Andres It's mostly inspired by his praising what Musk did with Twitter. In terms of business decisions.

Decisions that cost the company most of its advertisers, 2/3rds of its value.

And said as Twitter is being evicted from its Colorado officers for nonpayment of rent.

There is nothing good, business-wise, about what Musk has done with Twitter.

I'm pulling over some of my more technical data originally on reddit (or just on my blog) and posting it to the kbin 3dprinting magazine now. Trying to get it kickstarted a bit I guess - it has more people subscribed than the federated lemmy version so I guess it's worth trying to populate?

@tithonium Yeah, it's part of the entire network of nodes I have around my location for my air-exchange HVAC system. Code's up on my github. And that clip is from that system's monitoring interface. Works on any browser that supports CSS, at least back to the original iPhone.

I have the Ambient Weather WS-2902-ARRAY wind/rain/sun monitoring unit, talking to the IPOBSERVER internet relay device, which I could query locally but decided instead to let it throw my data up onto ambientweather.net servers and pull it back down (along with data from nine other temperature/humidity sensors and two air quality sensors) via JSON for analysis and action.

@remi @natty also, this weightlifter chick is on the opposite side of this, but lots and lots of woman’s workout books in the 1970s were focused entirely on that because it was so socially unacceptable for women to have musculature.

all that said, make exceptions for your core muscle groups please (pelvis, hips, back) - your future self will thank you

  • TPUSA telling young women to give up both birth control and life goals (other than birthing children)

  • Trump going after women in North Carolina

  • House Republicans voting as a block against life-saving abortions

  • Anti-trans assholes attacking cisgendered girls for having short hair and participating in sport

Facinating to watch a potential to the fediverse. The and teams are dealing with all the same issues that Mastodon and other fedi microbloging sites did - but in even a faster timeframe as much of Reddit appears to be set to go dark on Monday. Questions of how to onboard, questions of centralized vs distributed onboarding, questions of how to explain servers and federation, and deep questions of how to scale if traffic is anyting like it could be Monday...
