I absolutely destroyed @peterdrake in this game (52 vs 39). We had about the same number of pictures, but I visited a whopping 12 parks. I think that’s a record high for me.

Some of the new gear in the Wildlife expansion seems really overpowered. There’s no way the Planner, which gives you a wildlife after you visit a park, should cost only two sunshine. I’m sure I have that card to thank for my victory and personal best score.

Seattle Public Schools is really going to suffer from cutting off HCC and advanced academics. Seattle private school applications are through the ROOF right now because of this. SPS will end up losing students, losing funding, and slip into a precipitous decline even worse than it is now.

(my kids both go to public, my wife teaches in public… we’re advocates for public education but none of the current SPS policies will result in positive outcomes for public education)

We met a VIP guest at the Miletus museum yesterday.

The cat has jumped onto a bench. One of her ears has been clipped. She's likely a spayed feral.
An old greek statue of a reclining male with a big beard and popping muscles sits beneath spotlights in the museum. The cat is lounging, almost a reversed mirror image, except that she's licking her belly.

I don't hate Canva. But they're a VC-backed subscription service with AI ambitions, which doesn't bode well for those of us who need affordable, non-shitty graphic design software.
