Reminder: Control-Z (^Z) is UNDO! In their continuing push to force AI down users' throats, #Google has removed the standard "Undo" option from the top of many right-click text input context menus as displayed by the Chrome browser, replacing it with a useless "Help me write" function (protip: Do your writing yourself!).

Whether or not you still currently see Undo in various situations likely depends on your browser version, but clearly the replacing of Undo with "Help me write" is well under way.

Google's removal of the widely used and pretty much universally forever undo function is already causing problems for users who have been using it for many years and are unfamiliar with the associated shortcut. This really is a slap in the face to nontechie users in particular who tend to rely on context menus and not shortcuts.

So yeah, you can use keyboard Control-Z to UNDO, but if you don't already know that, you're screwed, because Google removed Undo from the menus without any warning or explanation. How Google has fallen.

Just confirming this because git sometimes adds features without me knowing it:

Say you have git repo A,
which has a submodule B,
which has a submodule C.

I want to alter C and use a patched version.

The only way to do this is to fork both C and B and create unique commits for both of them, right? There's no way for A to say "regardless of what B thinks it wants, override the hash of C"?

Surreal moment: there was a dude shooting a rap video in Kensington Market, but what this looked like was him standing on a street corner holding a big microphone and rapping into it in complete silence. Just really going ham, big gestures and facial expressions but making no noise whatsoever. His cameraman was way on the other side of the intersection and I didn't see him at first so for a moment it just appeared this man was trapped in a pocket dimension in which a rap video was occuring
