They’ll offer thoughts and prayers in the first breath and then the second breath say “but let’s remember the number of kids lives we have saved by arming teachers.
What I miss from your posting is that thoughtful responses about events. While it did frustrate me for not hearing what I wanted to hear it helped me to understand, keeping me out of an echo chamber and keeping me from the panic pundits culture.
I truly wish you would continue to post your perspective…maybe just turn off replies.
My screen has helps me avoid rage merchants, a feat that’s increasingly hard to do. I’ve been able to stumble upon a few offers me as a lay person perspective.
Without those guardrails, there is a strong desire to avoid it all. Which I believe is the other objective of rage merchants; push out those trying to rationally pay attention and those offering thoughtfully insight.
I completely understand your position and agree with much of it.
The selfish side of me really valued your expertise. I learn a great deal and helped me from acquiring “Chicken Little” syndrome as I’m sure it’s assisted others from falling headfirst into one echo chamber or another.
They should do a version of the show "The Price Is Right" but have all boomers as contestants and have them try to guess the prices of the basics needed to survive in the modern age.
