This is a request to all FOSS projects who only use matrix for communicating with the community.
Please consider bridging your rooms with IRC or XMPP.
India has banned Element, the most widely used Matrix client. I know it's just a client, but to be safe it's wiser to stay away from matrix for a while. So please help us in this regard.

You're talking about a for-profit company talking constructively with an elected government when asked to. Surely it would be much less appealing if they didn't?

The fixes here are more software completing their implementations, and more independent homeservers.
It'd be much more appealing if they didn't to a government at all, or if they did whatever they could to delay the moment they had to give anything at all.
This isn't what the idea makes it look like. Indeed it does look like they are “constructively” answering them.
