#Today has been a good day. There was blue sky and sunshine, but it wasn’t too hot, and for once I was wearing exactly the right clothes for the weather. We had a lovely lunch and a wander around the walled garden at Floors Castle. Here’s a sunflower to celebrate.

I walked a figure of eight route today, which meant that I passed through my favourite gate twice (everyone has a favourite gate, yes?) The weather brightened up considerably between passages.
I have many photos of this gate, and no two are the same. My dream is to incorporate a sheep, but I’ve not managed it yet.

Just had the pictures back from the black and white film that I ran through my #ShittyCamera I've not used black and white for years, and I'm really happy with some of the results. I particularly like the ones I took in the #Cheviots, where the medium suits the (relatively) timeless subject. I've seen very similar pictures taken in the first half of the last century
