@ronald I’m just conscious that everyone here is like me - same interests, opinions and values. An echochamber is arguably as damaging as a confrontational debating space. Ideally I’d love a safe place for challenging but respectful dialogue. I like learning from people with completely different world views, and I also enjoy evangelising to them.

@ronald I do love and the community here - I’m sure started out this way as a left leaning intellectual playground. Maybe like humans, social media platforms move to the right as they age. I’m not certain I want the right here after all. It’s a bit of a thought experiment for me. I can always hop back onto twitter if I want to hang out with the crazies there for a short while.

Trying desperately to hide from 12...he's got something. Fever, nauseau, boogers... And I'm over here with Lyme disease and some as yet unknown, separate auto immune issue. Please, please, please don't let me catch anything else. I'm out of time off.

He was covid boosted in the last 6 months, so I think covid is unlikely, but I'm gonna go get some tests to be on the safe side.

I’ve struggled a lot with serious over the years - needing lots of daytime naps and generally struggling to be awake. It occurs to me now that the lethargy dissipates when I’m living authentically - not putting on a performance. I’m also energised by having a purpose and spending time doing the things I love.

    Feeling sorry for myself. I moved to a new place 15 months ago, live on my own and still don’t have people I can just call up to hang out with. It’s hard to find people my sort of age - they’re all busy with their spouses and kids. I’m . 😔
