Twice in one day I have to shout "what in the actual fuck?"

Apparently decided to cancel Star Trek: Lower Decks, ending with the 5th season.
It's bad enough "seasons" these days are an anemic 10 episodes (if that!), and then they get cancelled while still going strong? ugh..

@daringfireball Been using Friendly Social for years; it's a frontend for FB/Insta websites, yes, but adds ad & tracker blocking, additional options for viewing & sharing media, and most importantly IMHO it's not a bloated running-in-the-background-even-though-I-turned-that-off app like Meta's native apps.

@daringfireball I expect Apple's looking at the technology a little, maybe even seriously, but Apple's not one to release a new product "just because"; if they can solve all the problems (thickness, that fold line in the screen...) then maybe.

But here I am still hoping they bring back the mini.

Lasting 5 seasons and gaining a loyal following, B5 set new standards for television - pioneering the use of CGI instead of models, and proving audiences could and would follow a series with long story arcs (paving way for shows like Lost, Battlestar Galactica, Breaking Bad, and many more)
