@kkarhan die Antwort ist sicher Nein, aber die Kühlung ist kein Problem, die Kohlekraftwerke brauchen genau so Kühlung und müssen nicht abgeschaltet werden, die haben einfach riesige Kühltürme. Genau so wie einige deutsche Atomkraftwerke die auch hatten.

Also Atomkraftwerke sind keine Möglichkeit, da deren Strom zu teuer ist, EDF ist deswegen extrem verschuldet, weil sie den Strom preiswert verkaufen müssen. Wenn man nach Gestehungskosten sucht finden sich viele Informationen, Wind, Solar und Batteriespeicher sind einfach zu billig und viel schneller zu bauen.

Ich habe das Gefühl, eine Mitarbeiterin könnte sich bei der Arbeitszeiterfassung vertan haben, mehrmals. Wie kann ich ihr zu verstehen geben, dass sie da genauer drauf achten soll, vor allem wenn es vielleicht doch ein falsches Gefühl ist?

Ich will keine arbeitsrechtlichen Konsequenzen angehen oder androhen, ich will es nur gebessert haben.

Strange behavior of a 2023.09-dev installation. The instance site is running "closed" - but it always opens automatically for registration. So i close it in administration - site setup - but not for long...

@hiker I think you might have to set "Maximum Users" below the "Closed" to 0. Can you try?

@hiker yes, accounts on my server never get deleted too. I opened an issue, but it seems I have the only server with this problem. Maybe check if you want to leave some comment there, feel free to ask for support.

@hiker for me deletion is not working for more than 11 months. 🙁

Account show in "Deleted", but there it lists all deleted accounts with deletions that should have happened weeks/months ago.

@feb @hiker einzig das Profilbild scheint zu bleiben, also so lange du da keine Mißbrauchs- oder Nazibilder hast ist alles gut.

It looks like might collapse soon. What’s the alternative I can tell my family to use? Please note a lot of my extended families is German, so they are quite conscious of privacy.

Der Igel macht einen super Eindruck inzwischen. Er wird gleich böse wenn ich ihn stören und rollt sich viel schneller und besser ein. Er hat im warmen auch viel besser gefressen als draußen und sogar schon richtig Gewicht zugelegt. Mehlwürmer und Katzenfutter sind der Favorit. Morgen mach ich das Igelhaus Winterfest, damit er schnell wieder raus kann, falls er nicht anderswo ein besseres Nest hat. Hier ist nämlich noch recht mild und er muss schnell winterschlafen.

blöde Frage: ab wann fängt ein frisch aufgesetzter friendica Server eigentlich an, zu föderieren? Ich dachte bisher, erst, wenn ich einen Relay-Server eingetragen habe. Aber lustiger weise habe ich den globalen Stream auch schon ohne Relay-Server ... 🤔

@feb @ted und Friendica macht auch selber Relay meine ich.
Zumindest gab es mal Direct Relay. Wobei nicht sicher was das genau macht.

I’m still trying to get all my blogs to work with the fediverse. It’s very complicated if you have a multi site with sub folder installs for each site.

@annamariaeriksson @annamariaeriksson with the Friendica Account you could actually circumvent the problem you got with the blog and subfolders... not the nicest solution, but maybe it is sufficient for many cases.
Friendica can reshare RSS feed posts as if it is original posts, so they would show up as if written and posted from the Friendica account.
Yet another solution is to move the blogs to subdomains and create some HTTP 301 or 302 messages for the subfolders, I think this would not break the function for many users/readers and give a rather smooth transition.

I will not annoy you any further, just three things that came to mind when I read the blog post.

@annamariaeriksson and for the RSS feed, you can follow RSS feeds in Friendica as contacts and then you can set in the contact to reahare the feed posts as your own posts. I can send you a screenshot in a few hours, when I am at home, to show how that is done.

@annamariaeriksson ok, here is a quick guide

Lets take a feed from your blog:
greatdanemaniac.com/en/blog/fe…

If you take the feed URL and paste into the Friendica search and click "search" it will show a contact page for this feed. There you can click on follow, it looks like this:

It will bring you to this page:

The feed is now a contact of your account, which means you can receive its "posts" (like the Mastodon toots), the posts will show up in YOUR timeline, but only in yours.

But as said before you can share each post that come in the feed as your own post, for this you need to check this:

The other two settings are optional, the one with the Fetch information and keywords you need to play with, it changes the way tags will show up like.

From now on any new post in your blog will be shared as if you wrote a post on Friendica.

I got a few bot accounts like that, ie. @nasa or @earthquake, both use RSS feeds.
