Turns out it was the 100th Christmas for this china. Thought that was pretty cool. Handed down from my great great grandmother.

I bought an expensive in 2018. At the time, I calculated it would have taken almost 15 years to recoup the price differential to a similar (gas) .

Days away from my car's 5th birthday, I ran the calculation again. Inflation adjusted (in all ways), I am only one year away from recouping that cost diff.

$35 a month in electricity to run my car. $18,000 saved in gas and maintenance in 6 years.

That is wild.

Please explain to me why Zoom, a company worth ~$20B, with probably one of the most modern tech stack out there, requires 10 FREAKIN' DAYS "for your unsubscribe to take effect”.

I'm a bit surprised at all the / stans in the fedi feed. AFAIK, Kotick never atoned for all the trauma they inflicted on their employees, and has to this day, denied there were ever systemic problems, whilst settling lawsuits out of court.

Did y'all forget all of that because a new expansion came out that you really want to play? Or did I miss something and Blizzard is ok again?

I think might be an for humanity's situation.

GladOS is every government. Wheatley is every corporation, that has taken over the system through regulatory capture.

Chell is regular (non-brainwashed) people trying to navigate the system.

Cave Johnson is the earth, sick from experiments, handed lemons, got mad, and is burning our houses down with them. The combustible lemons.

Only way out is to win over GladOS and shoot Wheatley into space.

@whotookkarl @schizanon the salient point being, that if it has permeated that level of adoption and consciousness, then it is replacing a significant portion of the value of fiat currencies in use today.

Which means a whole Bitcoin is approaching millions of dollars.

Best bet is to be in it for that long haul, and ride out the short term volatility.

@tantramar @gemelliz @1goodtern The worst was her claims that it somehow wasn't in schools. It was mind boggling. Evidence piling up that kids were a huge transmission vector and she was claiming there was a magic barrier around schools.

I question her sanity.
