In defense of preemptive bans, some subs do it when you participate in documented hate-subs. Didn't know the practice existed until I got a bunch of automessages. lul
Hey, all. I started posting here because it was the result that came up when I searched for "egg_irl" on browse.feddit.de, but it turns out that this community is currently unmoderated—the moderator listed in the sidebar over there is a banned user. I think we should take steps to get moderation in place now rather than later....
Someone here already has 12 subs on his own. We would be inspired to avoid the era of the power mods. Moding should involve an interest, not just collecting rings of infinity like it's a gold rush. How can it be a good practice in the long term?...
Like complete x% of mod activity to remain a mod for that sub, possibly have that % vary by sub size and/or number of mods for that sub.
As long as that percentage stays low and unlimited (but indicated) break periods are allowed, I'm down. No need to make volunteer work feel like more work.
I've finally finished my exams, and now finnaly have some time to play. I was wondering what games I should try out? I usually end up playing for 30 minutes before losing my attention span, so I'm looking for a very immersive and simple to get into game. Anybody got any suggestions?
As a former redditor I am glad to have found a new "home" and I hope I'm not intruding. Nevertheless, we are all a huge migration that is bound to change how kbin works and we're bound to piss off some pre-migration Keebinetters. The fact you guys were here before and not in reddit makes evident you don't want this to become a...
Heartthrob Memorial: Under the Tree of Legends (aka: Tokimeki Memorial) for the Super Famicom (SNES). Fantranslated and (supposedly) more intense than Dark Souls and "harder than Contra". It's (basically) the first dating sim, btw. 🤷🏿♂️
It's not really my style, though. Yeah, I just got the special good ending of Doki Doki Literature Club on the Switch (my god) a few days ago, but I don't even remember the last one I played pre-2023. One of the first in general was probably 2003's (EVA4 sim date rpg) on Newgrounds during my early horny days.
I guess, to answer the question, my style is mostly RPG's.
edit: Mightest well mention that I only became aware of Tokimeki Memorial because of Action Button's 6hr review.
edit2: Thanks to @electriccars, I realized the question was probably for tabletops specifically. :x
An alternative would be them going Restricted with basically no Approved users so everyone can still browse existing content. The more time-consuming and possibly better alternative would be archiving everything so people can just paste the page link on an archiving site like archive.today or archive.org.
My older sister was generally better than me at every game we played as kids, especially Ms. Pac-Man and Mario games. Naturally, I outmatched her after the testosterone hit. But that's not the point here. 😅
If you're on a centralised platform like Reddit, this is what they can do. Centralised platforms have all-powerful leaders who can do whatever they want, and you have no alternatives if you disagree.
The point of the Fediverse being on lots of servers is that each server's power is limited. If you disagree with one server's actions, you can move.
Yeah, I've been getting this multiple times for the past hour or so. All it takes is being inactive for too long and I'm basically timed out. Better than being logged out, though. 🤔

Should we establish a maximum of subs per moderators?
