I moved to fedia.io (which runs mbin) because it seems to work without constant errors.

The Milwaukee Air and Water Show is this next weekend. Who's going? (mkeairwatershow.com)

The Milwaukee Air & Water Show, presented by Waterstone Bank, continues to be Wisconsin’s premier free, family event of the summer and one of the top air shows in the Midwest. As a non-profit, 501c3 organization, we support the local economy, our Armed Services community, and bring visitors to Milwaukee to experience the best...

I will not attend. I don't care for the noise, crowds, or show of military equipment.

I have friends that go, and the EAA seems quite different! But sadly, I'll be traveling that week.

rasterweb, to pico8

So I'm thinking this PICO-8 community could use a list of resources. I'm pretty sure I've seen an "awesome" list as well as a list of links on (ahem) another link aggregator site... If no one else compiles one, I may end up doing it.

I got an Anbernic RG35XX just so I could play Tetris with a Game Boy like experience.

/kbin project management costs, financing, future plans

I wrote the first line of code for /kbin on January 14, 2021. Around this time, I started working remotely and decided that the time I used to spend commuting to the office would be devoted to /kbin. Throughout this entire period, /kbin has been a hobby project that I developed in my free time. It was also when Lemmy started...

Great! I just signed up for monthly donations. Glad to support the efforts and thank you for the work you are doing.

I am preparing by making sure I stay the hell away from anything to do with it! ;)

Maybe wait for a few of the kbin apps to be released. Also, mention the no advertising, no tracking, and all the other features you tend to get on the fediverse.

Gotta love Madame Gigi’s Outrageous French CanCans and some beignets!

"raised the rent by 50%"!?!? Oh, landlords!

Nice! I used to drive by that area all the time. Sounds like this will be a great addition.

I've printed things that function as a block of wood with holes a number of times because believe it or not, it's sometimes easier. If I don't have the right scrap wood on hand, and the proper saw to cut it, sometimes printing is easier and safer. (For something like this where others may also need a replacement for an existing item, there's the extra bonus of sharing the model for others to benefit from.)

OC The fediverse is a privacy nightmare (blog.bloonface.com)

ActivityPub, the protocol that powers the fediverse (including Mastodon – same caveats as the first two times, will be used interchangeably, deal with it) is not private. It is not even semi-private. It is a completely public medium and absolutely nothing posted on it, including direct messages, can be seen as even remotely...

I got the gray RG35XX because it reminded me of the Game Boy I used to play.

Then those aren't really "remote" employees, are they?

rasterweb,

They may be remote workers... at a different company!

oldmke, to Milwaukee

Did you know that Emergency TV Service is actually still around?

@oldmke Yes, I drive by it every day. ;)

My tracker is really just a reminder and motivator for me to get moving and not be so sedentary. I'm fine with that.

I'm not a huge brat fan but Vanguard in Bay View is always mentioned by friends of mine.

Besides the features others have mentioned, I would say simplicity, how easy it is to get started, and the community/BBS which promotes easy sharing of work. Splore is a great tool and with the web site makes it dead simple to explore and learn about new games.

I just got into PICO-8 (running it on my Anbernic RG35XX) and hopefully I'll have a list of favorites to share soon!
