tygerprints,

A horrific tragedy that people like Mike Johnson funded and support every day of their lives. He regularly gets checks from the NRA in the millions to keep his mouth shut about gun control. The blood of every person killed in America is on his hands and will damn his soul for eternity, like all who support the NRA and all who take illicit blood money for looking the other way. There is no redemption from that sort of filth.

tygerprints,

...will do nothing to help or stop this kind of horror from exploding across America's idiotic face again and again and again and again and again without end.

tygerprints,

I pray that this is true. That's where my prayers are going, to the ultimate demise of the NRA and its constituents.

tygerprints,

I hope the students involved are walking out in protest of the war between Gaza and of Israel and their murderous bombardment of each other. And not simply, idiotically and blindly marching in support of the horrific filth that Gaza unleashed two weeks ago. Read the article in USA Today about what Hamas did to some of those kids - including the beheadnings and the disembowlment and removal of children's eyeballs, and tell me you can support what Hamas did for ANY reason. Only sick pieces of utter scum ever could be OK with that sort of filth.

tygerprints,

Good news indeed! Brandon is my favorite new word for 2023, an expression of the good and decency that is in Biden and all who support him. Bravery, Responsibility, Altruism, Niceness, Dependability, Optimism, and best of all, Nobleness. Let's put an end to Anti-LGTBQ bullshit and malarky once and for all and start living as good decent people who actually strive to exemplify the best qualities of humanity.

tygerprints,

This is completely incorrect. By any definition and certainly by all standards of humanity, a desire to kill people IS indicative of mental illness. It is actually one of the few red flags that can get you instantly sent to a psychiatric facility for lock up if you mention it in a counseling session. For good reason. NO well adjusted and healthy individual wants to see other people get killed, or worse, facilitate their murder. That you can't see that truly scares me, because I see a lot of this inability to understand what is right from wrong in so many young people's beliefs these days, and it's truly disturbing. Hate is something we all encounter - but that doesn't mean we accept it or promote it. If you feel like hurting others, you NEED to treat it as you would any other illness! Your mind, like your body, deserves to be healed and get treatment where it can get it. And I have to agree with the other respondent here, every person who picks up a machine gun and goes out to kill people, ABSOLUTELY IS MENTALLY ILL. Because murder is ALWAYS an act of mental illness, no matter the motivation. It's normal to have hateful feelings and anger, but it's abnormal to do nothing about that and just let it keep festering. Please stop promoting the idea that murder is in any way an OKAY mind set. It is not.

tygerprints,

It isn't moral "wrongness" that makes something a mental illness, but it is totally immoral to refuse to see the things that do make something a mental illness, and saying that well adjusted people inflict violence for fun is incorrect, it's untrue. Yes cops do respond violently to violent situations. Have you been a cop? I've worked with them. I see the kinds of horrific insanity and violence they themselves are confronted with daily. As for soldiers, I DO question their mentality, because it does take a suppression of the horror of violence to want to be a soldier. Some soldiers have told me, they were either going to have to join the military or end up in jail. I'm not saying they're all mentally ill - many of them have no desire to kill another human being. Those that do - are mentally ill in my book and always will be. And there's no argument about it with me. You cannot justify any desire to kill another human. And if you think you can - don't reply to me because I have no time for dealing with imbecility.

tygerprints,

That's the real American tragedy, that we've been beaten into believing that "nothing can be done to prevent this." Something COULD be done, it just won't be. I'm sure as we learn more about this reprehensible idiot who caused this sick misery, we'll come to find out there were all kinds of red flags on his social media posts and his emails and his past arrest records and yet nobody bothered to take them seriously, or cared enough about him to connect him with psychotherapy and medication. Sad. Because the truth is, this kind of thing is always ENTIRELY preventable - if only Americans were smarter about gun control and less obsessed with violence as some sort of solution (which it never is). A sad country indeed.

tygerprints,

Well that's a huge problem in my view. You SHOULD care INCREDIBLY about the horrific proliferation of guns.

What scares me most today is that people have this blinder on that keeps them from being able to see guns as the atrocious, and utterly ugly death-dealing devices they truly are. Sure, people can inadvertently kill someone with a car by misusing it while high or not paying attention - people can use bats, chairs, cleavers, knives and other inanimate objects. But there's a huge difference. Those things aren't MADE to be lethal weapons. A gun however has only ONE purpose, to create a lethal wound to cause death. It IS MADE TO BE LETHAL WEAPON. PERIOD.

And that should terrify you - but for some reason (and this really is horrifying) it doesn't. And that really is horrific to contemplate. Guns are not just a small part of the picture. This culture of gun worship and loving the way guns kill and maim things - it's really the most perverse sort of filth imaginable, it should horrify the LIVING SHIT out of you and all decent people!! ALL DECENT PEOPLE!!

Yes some very mentally disturbed people do fetishize guns, which to me is like fetishizing child rape or necrophilia, only I'd rather have those two than people slobbering over a love of guns - because those two things are fixable. A fixation on guns seems to be only fixable by extreme measures such as shock treatment or incarceration of the individual for life.

We DO need to expand and support red flag laws. But even more so, we need to revolt against the corrupted filth pedalled by the NRA and its folllowers and show gun nuts for the crazy, sick, wanting to kill mentality, the horrid and debilitating illness, that it truly is. There are NO two sides to this debate. You DO NOT get to have it both ways -- LOVE GUNS and then be shocked when kids and people on the street get mowed down "just for fun."

Anyone who loves guns has no right to feel bad about these mass shootings!! The blood of all these kids is on THEIR hands forever.

tygerprints,

This would be the best thing to happen to the world - the utter cleansing of the earth through the obliteration of humans. We know it's going to end by nuclear war anyway, how much better to have nature simply snuff us out instead of waiting for us to do it to ourselves. Which we will. A supreme fiery end is coming for human beings, one way or another.

tygerprints,

Me too, but I would hope that after such a meteor, no more men or humans would emerge to once again soil and spoil the earth. There is no rebuild, men have only limited interests - war, hurt, misery, destruction.

tygerprints,

I'd definitely watch the S#it out of a Twilight Zone or a Night Gallery remake - since many of the originals were kind of tepid and held back on the horrors. Today I think they could do so much more. NOT a Tales from the Crypt type of grisly, but more of a twisty, scary, atmospheric, maybe a bit gory type of thing. Night Gallery had some corkers and potential - it just needs a good time slot.

The Texas Supreme Court will hear the case of a Waco-area judge who refused to perform marriage ceremonies for gay couples.

tygerprints,

@SarahBreau True. It shows that we're really sliding into the sewer as a country. Discrimination already has made a major comeback thanks to idiots like her (not that I'm prejudiced, of course!).

@Chron

tygerprints,

e e cummings wrote, "a salesman is an it that stinks excuse." That about sums it up in my view.

tygerprints,

I have to use the version saddled with my android TV - I don't watch Youtube on my computer, so I'm not sure I have any option but to use the ad-riddled version. Heavy sigh!

tygerprints,

I was in the middle of watching an old Tales from the Crypt episode last night and at the most climactic part, suddenly a 5 second commercial for Maxipads came on and completely ruined the experience. Why, why, why oh LORD why!!!!!

tygerprints,

My religion bans orange haired assholes from being in our country. How should I proceed to process papers for his removal?

tygerprints,

Religion is the opioid addiction of the masses (to paraphrase). How hard it must be to have to deal with life on realistic terms and solve problems using human ingenuity instead of a reliance on a supernatural entity to shower you with good or bad outcomes. I guess it's just easier not to have to shoulder the responsibility of being each other's keeper and helper on this planet.

tygerprints,

Well I get that - and I don't think anything can excuse what they did no matter what "reason" they did it.

tygerprints,

Imagine sucking as hard as CADmonkey does. Must be from all the cocks you've taken from other thugs with small mentalities like yourself. TTFN, asshole.

tygerprints,

Please exercise you're right to shove our opinion back up your ass, I'll support the police over thugs like you anyday, and I will not be silent about it and I'm glad it irks you this much and I not going anywhere, dumbass.

tygerprints,

Well I agree with you totally - I don't personally believe in heaven or hell or any of that nonsense, but you would think that groups that DO believe in hell would try their best not to end up in it.

tygerprints,

I like that concept. I happen to be atheistic, but I've worked with professors who were of the Jewish faith and helped serve and prepare food in their congregation and I love the people and their generosity. I've yet to encounter anyone of the Jewish faith I would call a bad person (but I'm not saying they aren't out there, there are some in every tenet and faith). Thanks for the clarification!!

tygerprints,

Better to be thought of as a troll than to be thought of as a belligerent asshole like yourself. Sorry, but that's how you come across and you seem extremely unhappy. I hope things get better for you and you can't quit being so small minded.

Republicans Started a Civil War They Don’t Know How to End (nymag.com)

House Republicans haven’t been terribly successful at many things this year. They struggled to keep the government open and to keep the United States from defaulting on its debt. They’ve even struggled at times on basic votes to keep the chamber functioning. But they have been very good at one thing: regicide....

tygerprints,

Show me where I'm obligated to do your research for you. Maybe you're not smart enough to see what the Constitution says. At any rate, I consider you an ignorant moron and a great example of what is truly wrong with this god damn country today. I will not respond to or read any further replies.
