The latest version of #Lemmy (0.18.x) being so broken, that I can only reply to posts using #Pleroma / #Akkoma but not Lemmy, is something I frankly didn’t expect. Hopefully the #Kbin packaging for #YunoHost is working soon
I wonder if anyone has looked across #fediverse platform themes yet, to identity which are pulling #Google fonts, a serious #privacy tracking threat. Which platform is most resistant to and prioritising privacy?

In the #ActivityPub protocol, it's called 'Announce'.
In the #Mastodon web interface (and here in #snac too), it's called 'boost'.
In the Mastodon API, it's called 'reblog'.
Mastodon users say, informally, 'retoot'.
In the #Pleroma web interface (AFAIK), it's called 'repeat'.
Outside there, in other crappy social networks, Facebook names the action 'share' (IIRC), Twitter users names it 'retweet'. I don't know about others, but they probably use a different verb.

This closed issue from three years ago suggests this should be possible, but I can't seem to get this to work. Unless this is not typically enabled on instances?
Thus far the easiest #activitypub service I’ve installed has been #gotosocial, followed by #mastodon, and I wasn’t actually able to get #pleroma (or any forks) to build properly. I’m really rooting for the @gotosocial team and am looking forward to seeing how it progresses.
How? You know you can join more than one server and export/import your follow lists?
There's no reason to be beholden to just one server and when I joined #Mastodon last November almost everyone I followed was on more than one instance.

¹ soit complètement (ex:formater un message) et non compatibles, soit compatible en lecture (ex: tel logiciel peut voir, mais pas faire la même chose).
#Mastodon & #Pleroma are a #microblog service. #Pixelfed is for picture enthusiasts, #Peertube for people who want to make & watch videos. None of them are meant to publish news or go #viral. If you want that, please go to Bluesky or Meta.

#Pleroma#Akkoma#Misskey and #CalcKey: (mostly) compatible with Mastodon apps, admins can run various different front ends, support editing posts and quote posting.
