How is this post in my home timeline?! I don’t follow this account. It seems it wasn’t boosted. It doesn’t contain a hashtag at all (i.e. that I may be following). It wasn’t edited (to remove hashtags, eg). This account has 0 followers and 0 follows. How did they force this post into my TL? This is concerning!

IRS Direct File is a major win for the #Biden administration that doesn’t get a lot of attention.

Giving taxpayers an option to remove themselves from the marketplace of scammy for-profit preparation services is a major victory for all parties.

Other than the scammy for-profit preparation services, I guess.

A recent preventative scan I had resulted in 3 bills. My insurance fully paid 2, but left me with $1.5k to pay on the 3rd. I paid it. But a few days later, inspired by @glennf's recent insurance-appeal posts, I decided to appeal. I sent an email, detailing my reasons why I felt it should've been covered in full. Two days later I get a response that they've reprocessed my claim and paid it in full! ONE EMAIL saved me $1.5k. Life lesson: do not be afraid/hesitant to challenge insurance decisions!

I asked a junior engineer this question: “What very important thing do we need to confirm before removing our (left-the-firm) old boss’ accounts from our various 3rd party vendors’ systems?”

They are on incorrect answer number 11. 🙂

But this is a good learning experience.

So when they eventually get the right answer (or I have to tell them), hopefully they can learn the lesson without the pain.

(Answer: will removing the [owner/admin type] account break/deactivate/remove anything?)

I fully appreciate this is an 'early finding', that needs more investigation and corroboration, but I still cannot help to be excited by it!

A molecule that, at least on Earth, is only produced by living organisms has possibly been detected on a distant exoplanet (along with CO2 and methane, pointing at water oceans).
