@craigofinspiration consider the humble mini-campaign! Everyone gets excited about an epic 1 - 20 campaign, but setting your sights on a 3-5 session arc can give you a taste without a massive commitment. You can continue it at the end if you like, but you won't feel bad about leaving it behind if it wasn't working.
Highly nitpicky #5E question: Would a Monk's healing abilities through harnessing Ki be considered a natural source of healing or more magical? I am struggling to find a good source on what exactly it would be counted as.
So, a guy behind the first two "Gamers" movies is trying to crowdfund fourth one as well. To which I say: sure, why not?
I'm usually very skeptical about belated sequels/cash-grabs, but I have fond memories of first two "Gamers" films. They came out long before Twitch streams and YouTube actual plays made #Dnd (relatively) popular again.
@craigofinspiration Think about your character's motivations. Why do they do what they do?
This includes: "Why do they want to hang out with their fellow player characters?" Player characters don't need to agree on everything, but they should be willing to work together.
I think it's kind of weird how front and center the 80s D&D cartoon characters are in the artwork for the 2024 revisions when the majority of 5e fans weren't even alive when they aired.
@taichara@kenmarable IDK, if they were going launch the cartoons again or some other related media, you'd think they would've announced that already to try to synergize the releases. That said, WotC is really bad at that.
Didn't link to this on the holiday, but I did get the lastest addition to my 3E swashbuckling game up. The week it's a lot of delving into the perennial and surprisingly relevant question of "what is a hit point?"
Yeah, Rob was a great DM. He also had a green faerie dragon private investigator named Jade Spade, a teddy bugbear demigod who sent anyone who acted "not friendly" into a pocket dimension, and had my Lenape fighter/transmuter kidnapped by a spelljamming ship that read her memories and gave its crew a new mission as the Algonquin Scro, who protected North America from Eurpoean colonization. The Roanoake colony? That was them.

My #DnD character, Rima Sahr, is a rune knight fighter. Rune Knights studied the magic of giants and have the ability to grow a size larger in combat. If you then case enlarge/reduce on them, they double in size again.

@Artemis201 I’m looking forward to these massive figures. It’s fun that you can literally just scale up your figurine instead of resort to a torn sheet of paper that’s kinda big enough.

I'll probably wait on the gargantuan one. I've still got 13 levels before I get there, so a good year and a half before I expect to need it.

My Kids D&D group is back in a board game cafe! We got thorough our second year at Strixhaven (not in real time, thankfully) which involved, somehow, singing We Will Rock You. And me, the adult at the table, trying to keep the noise level down.
A #dnd campaign where the bbeg is a Bard with College of Rhetoric that's amassing a large following from spreading conspiracy theories and extremist ideas.
My dice rolls pretty much sucked all session during our #DnD game today, but the dice were clearly saving themselves for a natural 20 on a Guiding Bolt attack against a wyrmling that was hurting two of my party members.
