This song is apparently called "Theme of Tara" because during the development of the original Metal Gear Hideo Kojima kept vocalizing the melody as "ta-ra".
Je viens de finir Metal Gear Solid pour la première fois.
Enfant j’étais team NES, SNES etc donc je découvre à 42 ans les classiques de chez Sony.
Je comprends mieux désormais pourquoi c’est culte. Les enfants qui sont tombés là-dessus à l’époque ont tellement du devenir zinzin !

Ce qui pique c’est la VF. Elle doit avoir une grosse cote de nostalgie pour les joueurs de l’époque. Mais là, ca m’a donné envie de refaire le jeu en anglais. Un jour peut être…
I’ve only played a little of Metal Gear Solid V a while back. I’m extremely in the mood for it again so I’m starting all over on PS5.
I’m happy the master collection is out on Switch too. Haven’t ever played any other #MetalGearSolid games so I’m super excited to play the first three. Super, super excited.
@tashen The PlayStation era games were certainly a treat! I remember playing Metal Gear Solid and having the time of my life.
It was hard because up to that point...I had been playing JRPGs, never having encountered a stealth action game. I remember dying and reloading until I got better at observing enemy movements and planning my routes better.

I woke up at midnight again and spent two hours before work fighting Liquid on top of REX and having an absolute conniption over how I'd beaten him easily just a week ago.
After getting home from work, I beat him on the first try.
Revisiting #MetalGearSolid 5 after many years and this game still slaps. I'm not sure to what extent, but I heard #HideoKojima was not too happy or much involved in it.
I can see why, cause I don't think how they did the open world stuff and building your mother base works 100%. I think it should be there and it's important but this game works best when it's linear, as it's like a movie in some way.
Anyway, story is still somewhat confusing but I'm having a blast! #VideoGames
@rope189 that's true, I cannot remember the frame rate ever dropping. It's really pushing my #playstation 4 to it's limits though, especially when you're accessing the menu in the helicopter.
I think the story is dope, especially the twist at the end which gives you a completely new perspective on the whole game. But I think there's just too much going on and it could have trimmed down a little bit
@stvfrnzl Kojima intended MGS4 to be the grand finale of the series, but Konami pushed for 'one more'. Kojima being Kojima still made (of course with the help of tremendously talented people) a masterpiece, but the story makes less sense compared to previous games and I'm not even talking about the botched ending. Konami being Konami thought that the only thing that matters for producing a hit is a good engine. So they released metal gear survive after Kojima left, but it's an utter abomination
