I'd LOVE for this to be a growing trend in 2024 and years to come so SteamOS users and #SteamDeck fans could have more options in form factors and performance targets from their handhelds.
It’s the XBox store on XBox (or disc for now). Steam runs on Windows, but does it run on MS XBox handheld?
Would take years to litigate against that, and it seems like Apple will loose their battle (and my money is that a shit show will follow), but it doesn’t seem like it would spread fast.
SteamOS is vendor locked in by Valve. Afaik there’s no other stores (am I wrong). I guess MS and Epic could make Linux stores if they wanted to.
Time will tell if I was just rambling and got it wrong. Historically I’m probably 50/50:)
But that’s why I think Valve would be smart to extend SteamOS to other hardware or risk just becoming irrelevant.
(MS is also likely to keep pushing XCloud with GaaS and leverage their massive warchest and servers to kill competition outright. They are a SaaS company after all.)

Am I the only one who feels like putting Windows on a handheld is like installing Symbian on an iPhone? It's evolution in reverse, returning to monke if you will.
Summer sales are all around and #AYANEO is jumping in on the discounts! They have brought 4 of their devices into play, and while all are decent deals, the base AIR model could give the #SteamDeck a run for its money!
The upcoming #AYANEO and #GPD#handhelds will be utilizing the next generation AMD APU, the 8840U, but the new APU may not be the true generational update we expect.

The #AYANEO AIR 1S Indiegogo campaign is now live! And with the base device being comparable to the ROG Ally in terms of specs, but with an OLED screen, Hall effect joysticks, and only $800 for early bird pricing, this could be a damn good competitor.
