Fuzzy, #lofi#downtempo that feels like it wants to grow up to be a #DeepHouse track (albeit a deeply weird one): all that’s missing is the kick drum and a groovy bassline. Hard hitting drum sounds, minimal pads and a garbled, filtered vocal chop are the main ingredients, and for the #gearheads, it might be interesting to hear this was all done on a #Digitakt.
#Lofi#downtempo track that offers what sounds like a real bass guitar, some absolutely snappy drums and a gorgeous lead synth/string line, along with some chilled out e piano chords to tie it all together. Goes a little hard to work as the kind of background music that gets bundled up into those “lofi beats to study to” compilations, but it’s all the better for it.
Sometimes (while working) I like to listen to my #music#library with the Auto DJ feature in #mixxx – especially to some #downtempo#techno. 😊️ #dj#opensource#linuxaudio
I wish there was a good #light theme though since I mostly use the software in bright daylight (which I admit is probably kind of an edge case 😂️).

I have been working on it for the last two years and I'm excited to share it now.
It contains #downtempo music as well as #electronic#club#music with elements of #Soul & #Afro and on three of the tracks wonderful vocalist #Jepka is featured again. Really happy to see it released now and thanks to everyone who supported/bought it already 🙌
Moderator's best album so far is his most recent one, the impeccably titled and perfectly atmospheric Forbidden Acts of Vaudeville. A collaboration with Oddly Humes, the genre indicator tags you'd want include #downtempo#hiphop#beats#blues#surf#guitar#lounge and more but the point is that it's a pure vibe. A late 2023 release and instant top tier album of the year, my fav tracks include Set My Soul On Fire & Just Before Dawn, but this is a play from the top album
Elements of shoegaze, downtempo and indie rock swirl and fuse on "Breathe Out (Unseen Balance)" by @pierrotechnique, the lead song from his recent release. Woozy and mysteriously inviting, flecked through with interesting tones and sounds, buoyed by its omnipresent bassline and topped with an intimate vocal that breaks down into wordless murmurs at times.
Falling somewhere between film music, IDM and downtempo, Inexistens from @xylander offers up 5 tracks of warm, bright and playful electronica. Clean production, minimal arrangements and a good use of sonic space all work together to bring these tunes to life.
I had this double-LP arrive some weeks back. It's 'Onwards System' by Cell, which is psychedelic/downtempo. I think it was the first vinyl that Ultimae released in white, but there's also a black version. It's also 180g. Very relaxing album.
Northbound is a collection of 12 sonic affirmations featuring club music as well as introspective downtempo music. A well-balanced combination of electronic and organic creations with a beautiful overall feel.
I put together my April favourites on Bandcamp via BuyMusicClub. There were some great releases this month I think. Parra for Cuva has finally set up a Bandcamp account with his new Mimose album as well as the new Catching Flies album is also out now, plus a bunch of other great releases. Hope you enjoy! ✨

my remix for Radio Citizen and Bajka will be out soon. RC unearthed tracks from sessions dating 20+ years back including some tracks with the wonderful Bajka on vocals.
