A year ago I knew nothing about her. RYM tagged her as "pop" (among others) yet... she was in the program for Wacken '23! Whatever she would make, I could not miss it. If she was in Wacken, she must be worth of it. And oh my she was.
And she is releasing a new album in a month and I am curious to see what she will come up with. For now, a new single.
Oooh I can hear some Simon Mills influences. Very satisfying, bouncy, slightly-fuzzy, synth bass. Great groove. Light and easy vocals. Loving the contrasting moments between lush full sounds and sparse beats.
“Hoping for the best but expecting the worst; are you gonna drop the bomb or not?” … is there a lyric that sums up the #GenX experience more than this?
Hey I just “updated” my website. I was using koji but it got bought out and rather than transfer to linktree my spouse coded a basic website for me. Can someone please check and make sure it all works? It’s pretty barebones at the moment, but hopefully functional.
It should be visible in both light and dark mode. Thank you! 🙏
A collaboration with SOPHIE "Oil of Every Pearl's Un-Insides" producer Cecile Believe, Dang is a Ted Talk on empathy and boredom from a dominatrix with the most twisted sense of humor.
Last Monday, while I was waiting for another female fronted band to start playing (Culk, go and check them out too), they put an extremely interesting playlist. I saved one song from it and this is my first contribution today:
Or perhaps you like your melancholy cat girls singing a chill summer jam that sounds like it's about romantic love but is actually about friendship love, reminiscing to a simpler time when friendships were close-knit, before the detritus of adult responsibilities fully took hold?
Make sure you catch when that beat drops, and feel swept away by a waterfall of 💫 vibes! :pensive_party_blob:
UPDATE: We finally had a chance to listen to one of them today, and although it wasn’t a surprise (because the test pressings sounded incredible), it sounds AWESOME. We’re so proud of this vinyl project.
