Hey anyone who uses #etsy, they are changing their terms and conditions so you cannot participate in class action lawsuits against them. You can opt out using these steps, but you have to do it before 23rd August 2023.
It applies if you have a profile there, whether you sell or not!
Just saw that #Etsy has had three articles about how they mistreat their sellers in as many days. As an independent #artist myself, I've been struggling to find purchase (and purchasers) on the platform, which is why I started building #magpiemarket - a #federated Etsy-alternative. If you like shopping for art on Etsy always check that the artist has a name and ideally some other posts online someplace. "Art" posted without attribution is either stolen or generated. Not that I think many of these will fool anyone.
There are so many delightful prints, photos and sketches of ants you can buy on #etsy to see these mixed in the search is like an insult to the artists I love!

Etsy has a huge phishing problem and they know it. But their countermeasures are completely inadequate. The picture shows just some of the phishing messages my wife has received in the last days, and with Etsy in the name and avatar they could easily be detected and automatically blocked.
I'm in vacation mode due to lack of sales in the last 3 months. I'm not sure if this will be temporary or permanent, but I want to thank all my customers for their support and all their 5-star reviews.
I kindly inform you that Etsy has blocked my account for reasons unknown to me because there are no details in the information I got from them! I appealed but they have 2 (two) weeks to reply!
I find this approach outrageous because the first step should be to contact the seller to clarify the problem!
We are totally dependent on coprorations and their heartless approach to people. Bots, mindless bots are everywhere.
