I made a quick proportional font (to be perfected later) for the menu texts. I personally like the small type better, but I reckon that others struggle with small type, and for many people it's not a matter of aesthetical preference, but a need of accessibility, so it makes sense that we add the option of a more readable proportional font for that. Thanks @TomF for your help.
I've been working with #Powershell and writing #gui windows for them recently. This has been a game changer for many things our team uses. Been nice to make complicated things easier for those not used to command line and kept user error out of the mix.
Today wanted to share a simple guide on how to get started on my post 31 of the #100DaysToOffload
#today Facebook served up some memories of me with Mr. Ex. I reacted with a mix of anger, loneliness, and longing. Why do I read these damned things? Another memory was of me playing with Ubuntu 11.04. That one was amusing. I've been messing with #GUI#Linux for a long tine. That particular memory was not the first time I played with this stuff. #CurrentMood centered and feeling pleasant.
Are there any usability studies out there about the design of older operating systems or GUIs for the likes of OS/2, Irix, CDE, NextSTEP?
You can still see many concepts from that era today but some things have been dropped, others added, some have evolved, while others were simply unique. I’ve seen studies for Win95, where decisions behind taskbar and windowing are explained. Is there anything like that for other OS?
