Close up of a Robin: A profile view of a bird with chestnut brown head and wings, bright red breast and throat and grey fringes separating the red and brown areas. It has a dark black eye and a black small, pointed beak
Jay: A large bird stands on a wooden fence rail, it has pale pink plumage, a black tail and white rump. Its head has a pale crown with black streaks, and black facial markings and bill. Its wings are black and white with a panel of distinctive electric-blue feathers. It is holding a peanut in it's beak
Grey Squirrel: A squirrel sits on it's haunches on an old wooden fence post, in front of bushes and trees. It is mostly a silvery grey colour, with white belly, reddish brown head and face with a big bushy tail which is a mixture of all three colours. It's front paws are held together in front of it.

I guess have very short expected lifespans in the wild, which they spend sitting in the sun, swimming in beautiful clean streams, and fishing, with no time to worry about politics, voting, or mortgages.

The highlight of today, at Spinnies Aberogwen Nature Reserve near , . My first sightings of in absolutely ages, and my first ever photographs of them. Not perfect pics by any stretch of the imagination, due to the light and the distance, but this one is good enough to share I think.
