Any #NUC enthusiasts around here? What do y'all think about the GMKtek K8? It seems to be pretty beefy compared to other NUCs. And has two Ethernet ports??
I'm not a gamer and if anything, rather love to work with old computers. However, expecting to receive a modest windfall soon, I'm thinking about treating myself to something nice for a change.
My first concern with this thing was cooling - lots of beefy hardware in a tiny (and fanless?) case. What else should I look out for? #question

Not sure if this will reach out to anyone who can answer, but I've been learning a bit about the #Nostr protocol, and it claims to be better against censorship and muuuch simpler that #ActivityPub. However, what are the downsides of Nostr, compared to APub? Less censorship = more bots? Simpler protocol = lacking good built-in defences against unknow threats, or something like that?

I learned webdev back when we positioned elements with float and IE6 compatibility was a concern. I know fundamentals. I picked some new things along the way. But I wonder how you would work when you don't shoehorn new things into outdated models I grew up with.

Where are custom keyboard command sets stored? I still don't understand how fedi instances work between each other, how can instances even block each other?? How can you find an instance that doesn't block others? How hard is it to host your own? So many questions!
@keepassxc Are there any issues with your Patreon account? My yearly support package is not working anymore and the money has been charged back. All tries to recover it failed and it does not seem to be a Patreon issue. It more seems like the support packages of the KeePassXC project have been removed completely. 😅
