L’armée israélienne poursuit ses bombardements meurtriers contre la ville de #Rafah, dans le sud de la bande de #Gaza, où 1,7 million de personnes s’étaient réfugiées. Mediapart a pu s’entretenir avec la référente médicale de Médecins sans frontières, Karin Huster, présente sur place.

Die israelische Onlinezeitung The Times of #Israel berichtet außerdem: Das Militär habe eine zusätzliche Brigade nach Rafah beordert. Laut Augenzeugenberichten sollen zudem Panzer des Militärs am Dienstag bis ins Zentrum von Rafah vorgerückt sein."
Israeli Army Radio reports that a unit from the 50th Battalion of the Nahal Brigade entered a building in #Rafah after being hit by an anti-tank missile. Upon entry, an explosive device detonated, causing the building to collapse, killing three soldiers and seriously injuring others.

The United States stated on Tuesday that Israel’s actions in Rafah so far did not constitute a “major ground operation” that would breach President Joe Biden's warnings.

"The draft text demands a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the release of all captives held by Hamas, & essentially orders Israel to cease military its operations in Rafah:
