We renewed our Missouri Botanical Gardens membership today and took a stroll. I've attached some pictures from the day, there's some water lilies, a banana tree with bananas and the Koi from the Japanese Gardens. A great day for a walk in the garden, now I need coffee and cannabis. ☕😎
Hello everyone, how's it going? I'm on my lunch break and it's miserable here in St. Louis. 🥵 The feels like temperature is about 20 degrees higher than the actual temperature thanks to the damn humidity. You can literally feel a layer of condensation on your skin walking outside.
Have a good afternoon and try to stay cool! I'm going to recline my seat and take a 20 minute nap before I have to go back to durance vile.
omg I just realized that @hilljam and I only have 12 more days at home before we start driving east for our tour 🤯 DO YOU HAVE YOUR TICKETS YET? 👀 Looking at you: Pennsylvania, Vermont, Omaha, and St. Louis!
Hello everyone, I hope your evening is going well! 🙂 We just got done with dinner and it was amazing! We ate at an intimate little place called Polite Society. Not the cheapest meal but definitely worth a try if you're in St. Louis. My wife had the cauliflower streak with carrots and mushrooms, I had the streak with sauteed crispy brussel sprouts and fries. We also had cocktails, I had a Sanguine, Melissa had a Strawberry Manilow.
Hello everyone, TGIF! 🙂👋 How are all my friends and cronies doing today? I'm currently looking at an empty status and looking longingly at the clock, it's been an exhausting week. It's our wedding anniversary today so we'll be going out for a fancy dinner tonight. I'm still in shock she's put up with my dumbass all these years. 😲 The picture below is us in 2008 at the St. Louis Zoo.
I managed to get in a couple of long #bike rides today, so I probably hit about 11 miles today of city riding (and #STL is hilly as heck).
It’s wonderful to feel physically tired, particularly because I know it came from practicality instead of something artificial like weight-lifting, which isn’t bad but always feels pointless to me personally.
If you're looking for some #Monsterdon adjacent art, might I suggest my buddy Matt. He and his brother (ALSO Kaiju artist) have show near #STL until Sept 2.
The Lowlands game came with a dozen ziplock baggies for storing the coins, sheep, fences, dijks, and rising waters. I wanted something more organized, so we let the 3D printer run all night. (#OpenSCAD and #STL files coming soon...)
ST. LOUIS – A woman is having a high risk surgery in St. Louis Monday to remove an epidural needle in her spine.
Amy Garrison has been in constant pain since a medic broke half of the needle in her and never told her about it. It happened at a naval hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. She sued, but a judge dismissed the case.
14 years later, tests found the problem. She’s scheduled for surgery Monday at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
The code allows for 3D and 2D versions, so you can either print or cut feathers ( #lasercutter#vinylcutter#cricut) and will generate an array of feathers based on how many you specify.
In addition to the #OpenSCAD code, there are example files for 3 different types of feather in #stl, #svg and #dxf format.
Welcome new mastodon friends! Time for a reintroduction.
St. Louis Urbanist is an organization dedicated to improving the urban infrastructure of our city by supporting public transit and fighting car over-reliance.
Well I made it to the park for lunch but couldn't force myself to take a walk. It's currently 85°F (29°C) in St. Louis and very sunny, in my work attire I'd be sweating like a pig in no time.🌞 So I'm propped up under a shade tree and scrolling Mastodon, possibly breaking one of HR's draconian rules.
I wish you all a wonderful rest of the day! I have to drag my ass back to work in 15 minutes but until then I'm going to make the most of it.😎
