here's a lil game: vote on the colour you think gets the least votes!
at the end of the poll, if you voted on the one with the least votes, you win - but uh, please no cheating if your client allows seeing results before voting
I decided on CMYK because idk it fits into four categories
Day22 #ArtAdventCalendar My favourite projects are #customised products. This order was one of the most challenging, but also one of the most satisfying. A #musician with a penchant for exploding #colours wanted a Frida Kahlo-themed #necklace for a #show. The necklace had to be very opulent because of the visibility. I researched with photos of #FridaKahlo to get a feel for her taste in #jewellery. In addition, the photos of the singer, her stage outfit... and I designed this. #ArtJewellery#Art
Day20 #ArtAdventCalendar Sometimes I feel "stone-agey" in #design, especially after a #hike in a very special mountain #forest. An ancient #ochre quarry is hidden on the slope. #Legends tell of a magical snake at a spring, often a reference to #geological features. There is still some eroded rock in different ochre colours. I first hammer it into small pieces until I can grind it. This produces pure ochre pigment.
Putney High Streer earlier today. It was a dull grey day. Dreich we would say in Scots. I zoomed in and turned up the colour. All the colour was there, I simply boosted it. The red to the left is a number 93 London ’bus. I got a front seat upstairs. Like flying up Putney Hill and along Parkside to Wimbledon Village! It brings out the child in me.
Day 8 #ArtAdventCalendar. These days in northern Alsace are dark grey and the rain doesn't stop. Therefore, I need colours! I do love #poppies and tried everything to imitate them in #paperArt. (I did the work in summer to watch the real flowers.) Which is the real flower? 😉
It has been a fairly long time since I posted any #pictures of a #sunset but today has been totally grey, dull and rainy for the whole day except at this time of day where the #clouds thinned and let the #Sun's light filter through. There were some magnificent #orange#colours and I think that this #photograph goes some way to capture what it was really like.
The festival quarter, Montreal's Quartier des Spectacles, is probably quietest in late fall, but the lighting is always fun for photos at night as I walk through on my way home from downtown. #Montreal#lighting#colours#colors#autumn
To be "livid" is to be very angry, fuming, furious. But the word, as I've just learned, has another meaning - and the latter is the older of the two: to be livid then can also mean to be purplish-blueish grey or leaden in colour. It derives from the Latin "livere" or "lividus", which means "be blueish". Bruised flesh can also be livid. #colours#language#etymology
