Something that could make me appreciate the "star" feature in #GNOME Files more: having starred items pinned to the top of search results. That would distinguish its #UX featureset from the bookmarks system, for me.
Random Access Memories (Drumless Edition) dropped today. I'm a few songs in and a lot of the subtle details are more easily heard, which is always a little exciting. Where's the energy though!? It's sort of in this uncanny valley between chill music and the funk that vanilla RAM offered.
Another day, another reminiscence on Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories." This time it's Pharrell Williams talking about the making of "Get Lucky" and "Lose Yourself to Dance," including footage of him hearing the finished tracks for the first time.
Daft Punk has been celebrating the tenth anniversary of "Random Access Memories" all year. The latest release is a drumless version of the album. Listen to "Within" here.
The music in Tron: Legacy by Daft Punk really helped define the experience for that movie. It would be amazing to apply the same treatment to a Star Wars movie. Bar scenes in places like Mos Eisley Cantina could be elevated to a whole new level. Disney owns Tron and Star Wars, so maybe someone will make this happen at some point. I'd definitely got a Star Wars themed party with this kind of music. #DaftPunk#StarWars
"Daft Punk intended to make a video for the song "Human After All", but the footage they shot for it was expanded to create the film Daft Punk's Electroma instead.
The only official statement given by Daft Punk at the time was: "We believe that Human After All speaks for itself".
De Homem-Christo later said that choosing to be silent was the biggest mistake they had ever made."
@ixi there isn’t just a single piece Daft Punk produced, that doesn’t connect with me. I love every single thing they made. It’s a 💯 % connection. That the 2 dudes where there, doing what they did, is 1 of the things I’m very grateful for. And of course it needed to end at a certain point. Obviously. And the end didn’t make me sad. I’m full of happiness and I am thankful, that they where there, and shared the music with me. Thanks #daftpunk !
