Happy Dental Care Day Canada!! (at least if you're over 70 without private insurance)
I hope that in time this will become part of universal single-payer healthcare (along Drug Coverage) and eliminate private insurance for health needs, but it's a start at least. And it happened because a centre-left party, the NDP, has an agreement to work with the minority government.
In an interview with #RadioCanada, #Poilievre was noncommittal on whether #ChildCare, #DentalCare and #pharmacare would be dismantled by a government led by him — but he raised questions about the programs' effectiveness.
"Braun is part of a trend across the United States to integrate oral health into medical checkups for children, pregnant women, and others who cannot afford or do not have easy access to dentists. With federal and private funding, these programs have expanded in the past 10 years, but they face socioeconomic barriers, workforce shortages, and the challenge of dealing with the needs of new immigrants."
The question to evaluate for this week is: Toothpaste or dental tablets.
I never gave this a thought until last month. The theory behind these chewable tablets are good:
No need to estimate the amount of toothpaste you need. Just take the amount that matched the number of days times the number of times you brush your teeth per day.
No messy tube to carry along or to discard.
Chew, brush, spit-out, rinse.
So I am going to evaluate them at home this week to see how well it stacks up against TP.
Canada is witnessing the most significant expansion of socialized healthcare since the 1960s thx to the NDP

$403/$1600! Besides the gfm, I owe my dentist $100 due before my next booking. I only have $39 to work with and my tooth is in urgent need of a root canal (or extraction)
IF ANYONE NEEDS TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR REPAYMENT PLEASE LET ME KNOW I WOULD BE WILLING TO DO SO!
No changes gofundme-wise.
