We've got an absolutely packed agenda of #AI in #healthcare experts at #STATBreakthrough, @STAT's #healthtech summit in San Francisco today.

#Microsoft Research's Peter Lee related a story this morning about an email he got the third day after #ChatGPT launched:

There was a fight in the @STAT slack about whether we could call this piece "Dick pics for diagnosis" (you can see who won)

This app wants you to upload a picture of your partner's genitals and uses an unproven to tell you whether they have an or not

and the can't regulate it because it's a "lifestyle product" 🙃

Does anyone have a Fitbit Sense 2?

Curious about the always-on stress testing. I got the Charge 5 to test it out, and I just, have no idea what to do with the results it gives and the 3 minute check is much too long to run it regularly (and it often fails).

Honestly seems like a rough year for fitbit. Really hope they keep Fitbit simple and roll the Sense 3 into the Pixel Watch 2. This lineup is way too big.

"Your phone may know more about your mental health than your therapist." With apps monitoring sleep quality, your heart rate and movements, smartphones hold more data about your day-to-day lives than ever before. And the diverse data collected may help medical professionals reach a more accurate diagnosis. Of course using technology in this way comes with its downsides.

Hey folks, I'm starting to get concerned that I need to be monitoring my blood pressure regularly, as high blood pressure runs in my family.

Does anyone know of a reasonably priced reliable blood pressure monitor that can feed data into apple health?

OpenAI wants regulation. This is what they want

  1. A new regulatory agency. They do not want to be regulated by the FTC because they want to pretend that they are not just another corporate entity trying to make money. But also, a new agency is likely vulnerable to regulatory capture.

If staffed by people sympathetic to OpenAI, this agency can give grief to emerging competitors

TryshHQ,

@Jdreben
🙏
My founder lens is squarely focused on individuals, families and patients specific to and most of all – & agency that accrues to humans FIRST

For 7 years I've watched 's fuck up every opportunity to employ in service of “doing the right thing” to produce positive outcomes. At every opportunity they've exploited vulnerable populations in service of greed.
