My dad had to make an #unexpected trip out to Arizona. So we are making the best of it. Brought him to the #GrandCanyon today for his first visit there!
Was on my way home on Monday and decided to stop in the Loop to go to a stationary shop. As I was exiting the Monroe Blue Line, I saw a sign with an arrow that said "Chicago Chagall." I went upstairs and found this beautiful Chagall in front of the Chase building. One of the special things about Chicago is the presence of a lot of public art from very famous artists.
I was walking from the grocery store yesterday in North Center and saw this perched carefully on the wall of a building through an alley above a discarded couch. Reminders of samsara enlightenment in the most unexpected of places.
In November while in upstate New York, we took a small afternoon trip to Saratoga Springs, a small, relatively affluent college town near where @seanbala grew up. We made two stops. One was Lyrical Ballad Bookstore. It was an amazing warren of shelves and lots of old books, maps, newspapers, and pictures. Funny thing is that even though he grew up here, this was Sean's first time going!
Last Saturday we were in West Loop late at night. As we went a friend's car, I looked up and saw this sight. It is one of those times I wish I had a really good night camera.
For those who might not know, the lower flag is the great flag of Chicago. It is one of THE most iconic symbols of the city. You can find it everywhere.
I've placed half a dozen orders in the last month and a bit, and it seems that every single one hasn't even #shipped for 2 or 3 days after I place the order. Everything I've ordered was in #stock (and not marginally; "27,563 in stock" type of thing).
Specifically, after placing an #order, and around the time you would normally expect it to be marked as #packed/#shipped, a warning shows up at the top of the order summary page that says:

> to be shipped as planned. Invoice and shipping information will be made available
> to you as soon as possible.
I ordered these from Digikey because I needed them ASAP. Having the order unfilled for 3 days defeats that...

And this photo was totally bizarre. I was looking at the lake and caught this white rabbit on a rock in the viewfinder---out in the water. I was like how did that get there? It seems it was someone's pet rabbit they had put out on the rock. Seconds later they brought him back in. It was nearly sunset and I just liked the mood. #nature#Photography#unexpected#rabbit#bunny
You come across some weird things in the back lanes of Glasgow, but I never expected to find Tigger locked up in jail. Mind you, there was always something a bit dodgy about him - he was just too damn happy all the time!
We have been to the Tibetan Refugee Colony many times but only on this trip we realized that there is a quiet back end of the neighbourhood on the Yamuna River.

Went to a mall in #India today. While @dohappybelove was trying something on, a male shop attendant told me to sit on a bench. He comes over to me and (almost) conspiritorially shows me his phone where he was watching the #cricket match between India and #Pakistan today. He point at the score and then looks to the sky in prayer. He then points out that the match is paused due to rain, and looked at me nervous. All of this is shared without a word.
I would not normally post a photo taken in a moving car. But seriously, what a sunset! The quality may not be the best but it was just so surprising I had to try and capture it.
George and Washy aren't allowed on the table.. And they don't go there the whole day! Until my gf goes to bed and the cats are dancing on the table.. :nkoFacepalm2:

We installed a security #camera, and noticed that when we are away, she jumps to the #table and stays there. Totally #unexpected!! :confused_dog:
